In a few years down the line it wont say in the record books Chelsea were negative.
It will say they were Champions of Europe, enough said.

Do the maths Maca between Barca and Chelsea? Seriously?

1 win playing negatively for the last 3 games at least, being out played for the last 5 games and needing pens to win. Perhaps playing for pens as well?

4 wins playing flowing attractive football. No pens required. It aint hard to do the maths pal.

Chelsea are the European Champs, the record books will say this and like I've already said - well done to them. But do you honestly think they are the best side in Europe?

Last year when Barca played like they did against United, did you think they were the best side in Europe?

i hated losing it on penalties in moscow and i'm not as happy as i should be with winning it on pens either i feel more sorry for the players that missed out (not terry) i would rather both teams been at full strength and been on a neutral ground and then chelsea would have been sent out to attack like the f.a cup final but circumstances called for negative tactics and they worked, i hope we'll get to another final and try and win it in style however it is nice to win a penalty shoot out at long last.

A victory for anti football but it was effective.
To spend so much money assembling a team, reach the champions league final to play catenaccio is hardly the showpiece fans want to see but like I said it was effective.
There'll be no complaints from Chelsea fans.
Just my opinion but I'd much rather see two teams going for it.

Very important to me as I am working with krauts. Not bad lads, but you wouldnt hear the end of it had they won. Now we won't hear anything... Not even from me, as I hate fussball speilen.

The guy's loyalties probably go back to the days of real home teams when the guys in the team were from the area. The only thing English about Chelsea was probably the team bus. It's predominately made up of foreigners from the owner down to the team mascot. All modern teams are international today and the only thing seperating them is the amount of money the owners have to buy the best players.

I said you have to be joking its the Champions League final Chelsea v Bayern Munich,i said dont you follow footy and he said are there a load of Londeners in tonight following the cheers when Drogba equalized.
I said its England v Germany and if it was Man United playing i would be rooting for them even though i hate them.
Weird how peoples loyalties are divided i would rather have a British club winning any day rather than a foriegn team any day.

Well done Chelsea every team deserves a bit of luck especially if they are British.

Well done Chelsea. Delighted for Frank Lampard in particular.

They played to their strengths and came out on top that is all that matters. Unless they have changed the rules without me noticing that is still allowed.

I dont think Chelsea played to their strengths at all. Only one team was attempting to win the big cup by playing football and it wasnt them?

However fate was with them and they certainly carried their luck but as said the history books will show they are champions of Europe. And to any Chelsea fan today thats all that matters!

I was never a fan of Chelsea but hats off to them, they dug in and got the result.

I must say I am happy for Frank Lampard.

Not a Chelsea fan, don't like them, but they deserve alot of credit for winning the cup. Whether they deserved to lift it is another matter, the fact of the matter is that they did and won it fair and square.

It's not Chavskis fault Bayern couldn't finish they're chances, like someone has already said the performance won't be rememberd in years to come but they're name on the trophy will.

It was destined to be Chavsk's name on the trophy this year, you need some luck on the way and they had alot this time around.

It wasn't the best final ive ever seen and even the commentators on ITV didn't really make a big deal of it when Drogba scored the final pen, usually they go crazy, then the lifting of the trophy was abit of a farce, couldn't even see Terry or fat Lamps, but well done to them.

@Maca58 Barce still has 1 final to play next Sat in the Copa Del Rey final and has already won the FIFA World Club Cup this season
