It's a shame there are a few negative posts here about Chelsea winning the cup after all you would think since a British team won it would be something to celebrate for Britain.

It's football, you don't celebrate another club winning a trophy.

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

All modern teams are international today and the only thing seperating them is the amount of money the owners have to buy the best players.
Four English players played which isnt bad for any top side nowadays and John Terry would have made a fifth if available.
Gone are the days where a team would select local or British players.
Even the lower league teams are full of foreigners.

Really? i would say spoken like a true fan. Why would you want to "celebrate" another club apart from your own winning anything?

Why would you not wish any other club a bit of glory would you rather see a german/spanish/italian team beat a British team in Europe ?

Did you celebrate Celtic winning the League? Would you celebrate them winning the Champions League? I wished them well but come on celebrate it

It's a celebration for Britain if any British teams win something surely ? take away the obvious winding up not wanting any rivals or teams to win anything apart from your own club, but for sportsmanship it's good for Britain and that's why you should celebrate Britain having a champions league winner.

It's about Britain being celebrated not just the individual team we should be proud to support British teams regardless of rivalries

Also it boosts the co-efficiency of the leagues if you have successful teams in them, and that can only be good for your Countries Football, and another reason to want Britain to have as many representatives as possible being successful the more success for teams the better the co-efficiency

Aye ok m8 but just remember if it wasn't for the success of other clubs in europe then the co-efficiency would not be as good, and maybe Liverpool would struggle even more than they have done recently to get into the champions league if they only gave 2 or 3 places instead of the usual 4 ?

food for thought and a reason to celebrate other teams getting an extra place for the champions league in your own league.

If Chelsea had lost that would mean Bayern equal LFC record of winning the same ammount of UCL Titles.
