    Rangers admission price

Theres a rumour going where i am, that if rangers meet any of the spl club other than Killmarnock in any cup competions the admission fee for the match will be ?1 in and then you will be asked to buy a programme for ?14 so when the attendence money is split rangers would only be splitting maybe ?45000/?50000 with rangers pocketing the programme money. Any truth in this. What would happen if they get celtic. Do they not have to give a certain percentage of tickets to away fans???

Think both clubs set a price, and the sfa will have a min price set. Also if rangers were to do this i'am sure other clubs would do the same back to rangers down the line.

Yeah had thought of that, but the balance lays in rangers favour. How sure is it that the sfa set a minimum price? And does anyone know what that would be???

I dont think there is a min price that can be set, as teams can agree to say let kids go free.

But when setting prices for cup games that share gate receipts. Both parties must agree the pricing.

If there was a stalemate between parties over pricing then I think this is when the SFA would be asked to step in.

I saw the rumour above and even in the state Rangers are in, I could never see the current owners do such a thing.

No idea the minimum price & i've no doubt Rangers would love to do it but they are simply not allowed to, as stated both clubs must agree a price or it will be set for them. And furthermore they would not make many friends going down routes like this.

Yeah i understand the points about not making many friends but the question is do they care. Just say they get an spl club and say there ground capacity is circa 12000 at an entry fee of ?15 thats ?180000 split both ways???, or ?6000 if they choose the same method, but then if rangers get a home draw and have 50000 @ a pound a head thats only ?25000 each, if thats the way its split. and then say 42000 are rangers fans buying the programme then thats 42000 by ?14 which is ?588000. I still think the balance lays in there favour. Can someone clear this up. Will it be allowed? if so i think they should fire away. Makes great commercial sence

              No.
              do they care
              No

See the thing is Rangers & a lot of their fans are waiting, hoping & expecting a lot of Spl clubs to fold, they believe people can't live without them, Killie are exempt from their thinking but time will tell if there is any truth in this, it will be a slap in the face if life continues & not 1 club goes to the wall.

Gracie I think this is just wishful thinking on the part of rangers fans. I hope it doesn't happen as I hope the club has moved on now and accepted their fate. Acknowledging what happened at the club was wrong and accepting that the spl clubs had to seek a punishment is the key to rangers revival and us getting back to where we need to be- ie the spl and the top dog in Scottish football.

I don,t think this action is to try and put any spl club to the wall i think its more of a moral stance. If someone was rude to you in a shop would you go back to the shop where you were offended and give them your money??i wouldn,t so i see the logic behind it. By the way just before someone pipes in here im not advocating a boycott of other grounds here im just saying rangers can hold there own now without the help of others.

Bang on m8 this is/has went far beyond any proper course of justice and fair play, this is all about personal vendettas especially by the SPL and the SFA and just as importantly the moronic halfwits that other clubs have as there fans who wanted Rangers severely weakened or destroyed.

Every Rangers fan knows that the club should be punished for what craig whyte did regardless of his intentions which as it turned out were pretty obvious by what he let happen to Rangers.

As far as i can see this fact this has been completely ignored by the SPL/SFA that 1 individual in a very short space of time put Rangers in the present predicament and because of this they have this witchhunt still ongoing with Rangers because of the actions of 1 man completely ignoring the past 140 years of this great institution called Rangers.

The sad thing for me is the way the hiearchy have dealt with this shambles and have turned scottish football into more of a laughing stock than it already was and the SPL/SFA have blatantly only been interested in Rangers for the money and completely ignored them as a valued member of there organisation as all clubs should be,as i say punishments should be dished out but along with those punishments surely any member that is part of an organisation should also be given some sort of unbias help when they end up in a spot of bother rather than just bleeding them dry for the money and money alone which the SPL/SFA are doing with Rangers.

For me this is 1 of the reasons a lot of Rangers fans would lose no sleep if any other SPL club found itself in dire straits now and frankly i would lose no sleep over it either especially for the majority of the fans who wanted Rangers out the game, and i would advocate an away ban on the SPL clubs that didn't want Rangers and thats not because i want them out the game like they wanted for Rangers but because if they don't want us then fine we certainly don't need them as 50'000 fans turned up for a 3rd division game proves.

Everyone else just seems to be getting on with the football, except Rangers

The so called 'vendetta' is absolute nonsense as well

"no one likes us, we don't care"

Just get on with the football, if Celtic had been been mismanaged financially in the same way as Rangers, you and every other club wouldn't have voted to admit a newco. It's not a vendetta, so stop pretending it is and get on with the football.

I seen this topic elsewhere, and as far as I can tell, they can charge what they want for admission

?14 for a program couldn't be built into a ticket bundle of you know what I mean
