    West Ham v Millwall

    What a joke..

Hope both clubs get fcuked by the FA, and the Football League kick them out of the competition for a year..

Thought this shit had been stamped out..???

A man has been stabbed and violent battles have broken out between rival football fans in “large-scale” crowd trouble in east London, according to police.

Hundreds of fans were involved in the disorder outside Upton Park during the Carling Cup second-round tie between West Ham United and Millwall and play was suspended for a brief time when home fans spilled on to the pitch to celebrate their side scoring a second goal.

Police said the trouble-makers outside the ground did not have tickets and had attended Upton Park with the intention of starting trouble.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said more officers were being rushed to the scene.

“There is large-scale trouble involving hundreds of fans which we are dealing with at the moment,” he added.

Officers have made two arrests, one for disorder and the second for breach of a banning order.

Police said the stabbing, in Priory Road close to the stadium, is connected to the fighting and the man is being treated by paramedics.

Inside, some missiles were thrown between fans, which could prompt an FA inquiry. Neil Harris had given Millwall the lead, but Junior Stanislas snatched a late equaliser for West Ham, sending the match into extra time and causing some home fans to spill on to the pitch in celebration. When Stanislas added a second from the penalty spot, fans again came on to the pitch, causing the referee to take the players off for a short period. West Ham went on to win the game 3-1.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Trouble is Millwall have been separated from their traditional rivals (West Ham and Chelsea) for a few years now because they've ben in different division. This game was always going to be an excuse for a punch up.

I just hope these idiots haven't cost us a chance of hosting the World Cup

These holligans have no place in society let alone football, they should be hunted by the police and dealt with severly by the courts,

The football clubs can hardly be held responsible for the acts of these criminals, there is little they can do to prevent hooligans behaving as they did, unfortunately the police intelligence network has let down the responsible football fans of both clubs.

Unfortunately I think the clubs can do more. On police advice only just over a thousand tickets were allocated to Millwall fans. Then West Ham released tickets on general sale and these were bought by a load of Millwall fans. Any man and his dog could have seen this happening and in my opinion West Ham were completely responsible for this. How can you reasonably expect Millwall fans not to buy these tickets? I think West Ham should have put more safeguards in knowing the history between the fans.

As long as people keep deluding themselves that "these people are not football fans" this kind of trouble will continue. They are football fans and until the FA, Club Chairmen and everybody else admit this then they won't be able to do anything about it.

Regardless of ticket allocation , the trouble started outside the ground an hour before the game kicked off. This was all going to go off as soon as the draw was made.

I honestly think movies such as Green streets promotes and glamourises football violence.
I am not the only football fan on these forums who lived through the violence of the 1970's. Following your team at that time you were almost guaranteed a confrontation with opposing fans. These days it's great to go to other grounds, drink in their pubs and walk to the game without having to watch your back.
I hope we never go back to the dark days of the 70's

the FA & Football League were stupid to let this game be played openly.. they as well as everyone else in England knew there would be trouble..

it should have been played behind closed doors at a secret location not released until an hour before kick off - for example St James' Park

Right I was there, the trouble was no fault of Millwall fans, The police have to take a massive part of the blame on this one for their bad planning of such a high profile game. I was one of the lucky 2000 odd that got their hands on away end tickets and arrived at west ham station at around 7pm where I overheard a copper on his radio informing them that there was still only 2 officers on the platform even tho there was 200 to 300 west ham and millwall fans with them, which is very poor with this being the main changing point for both sets of fans.
Anyway it was all good on the train until we got to upton park where we was told that no-one was allowed to leave the train and the train will carry on to barking which was 2 stops away and we will have to walk back to the ground, we was lucky because after 10 minutes being locked on the train just sat at upton park station the police let most of us off but for the others that I've spoken to that were on other trains was told to get off the train at plastow or driven non stop to barking and told to make their way to the ground, which just let large groups of both sets of fans to battle it out all over east london which was were the stabbings and most injuries happened.
When leaving upton park station we was welcomed with west ham fans chucking bottles towards another group of fans with 2 lines of police breaking them apart. we made our way past to get the other side where I thought the rest of the millwall fans were but when we made it across it turned out to be more west ham fans, why they was chucking bottles at each other is crazy.
We made it into the ground the build up was to quality with both sets of fans in loud voice which died when neil harris put us 1-0 up, around the 60th minute mark loads of west ham fans rounded up in the corner where they was having punch ups with police and the stewards while trying to break the line which was another thing I found funny because the one's that did ran towards the millwall end only to run back after giving us a friendly wave ha ha. It was also the west ham fans that ran on the pitch when they scored and again after they got their 2nd leaving the game having to be stopped until the the pitch was cleared. At no time did millwall fans enter the pitch so we can't be blamed for that either
guess it goes to show that its true NO ONE LIKE US, WE DON'T CARE

Even when the draw came out the first thing that was said " oh that one will be tastey", Everyman and his dog knew that it would be high rate. which I can see is the only reason for west ham cutting back on the 5000 we should have have under the cup rules to 3000 then again the following morning by the fa to 1500 tickets, after a meeting with west ham, millwall and the fa millwall were given a extra 800 tickets which also went in a few hours just like the first 1500. so both clubs and the fa knew full well that demand was high for tickets, I even know of people charging ?200 for 3 tickets, which just makes me sick to be honest

you always look for trouble and find it..

No one likes you because you're not about football just about fighting..

Millwall v Birmingham - May 2002 - Described as "one of the worst cases of civil disorder seen in Great Britain"

Millwall v Liverpool - 2004 - Millwall fans shouted "You should have all died at Hillsborough"

Hull v Millwall - FA Cup - Jan 2009 - seats, coins and plastic bottles being thrown at the Hull supporters. Around 50 seats were pulled out

Millwall v Leeds - Play Off S/F - May 2009 - Millwall fans invade pitch and throw missiles at Leeds 'keeper Casper Ankergren

Now all this trouble outside Upton Park..

You all think you're extra's from the Football Factory, small club small mentality..
The club and its so called 'fans' have never learnt from the riot in Luton in 1985..

Not many places get a write up like this..

The absolute must-have talisman in Bermondsey is the pit-bull dog, this must be taken out in public with no leash to show how hard you are…. The Bermondsey male chav will be easily distinguished when you are walking down the street, for a start he won’t be walking but performing some ridiculous strut from Monty Pythons ministry of silly walks whilst waving his jewellry clad arms around like a ****ing stoned monkey.

The chav female will usually be wearing a tracksuit and holding an extra large pushchair with several chav babies inside. She will usually have her greasy/laquered hair tied back and very large earrings.

there are several places in Bermondsey that are currently under occupation by these characters, One such place is Southwark Park, a beautiful serene park which has been spoiled by the presence of the chav. The most chavtastic place though is a shopping centre called ‘Surrey Quays’, this place is home to the under 25’s only, although the occasional older chav can be spotted. this place has the most sports shops per square mile in the country and is to be avoided especially on a Saturday. One of my favourite hobbies is counting pitbulls, I usually spot at least half a dozen a day, I thought these animals were all destroyed but Bermondsey seems to be a special nature reserve where the rights of the killer dog have been preserved.
