I think Defoe is a smashing player but Rooney has to be Englands no.1 finisher but I see no reason they cant play together

scince the 9-1 win spurs think they can walk it in. i'm a spurs fan and the last 2 games villa then utd we should of won but the team look like they think it will just come on a plate for em now. a few people need a kick up the backside. 2-0 win against everton today though as i have a cockle on it.

I agree that Rooney should be in the team somewhere, but to be the no.1 finisher ? No chance, he has all the talent and vision in the world and would make a fantastic attacking midfielder or deep lying forward but as an out and out goalscorer or finisher he is simply not prolific enough at any given time.
