2 years ago we finished 2nd, never progressed... granted.. last season we finished 7th... this season we should at least finish 6th, possibly 5th.. progress? yes. we have had 3 managers in 12 months... it takes time.... now its teatime...

Today as in the present mate we all know Liverpool are currently in transition, the squad was left in a bad state after the Rafa years and I think Hodgson started the recovery adding Meireles and some not fantastic but good squad players. Now with the addition's of Suarez and Carrol Kenny has compounded the upturn in form. I certainly don't think Liverpool will now drift into mediocrity but the top four is now not a given what with the threat from the dark side of Manchester. Tell you what if you think Utd fans are t@#ts then wait until bitters come from the woodwork spitting bile.

trust me,i know what to expect... lived up here long enough to have heard it all,but this true tale disgusted me and both my red and blue manc mates(well stopfordians)..theres a middle aged man who lives near me and comes in our local now and again. big city fan, season ticket holder, takes his 10 year old grandson as well.. he has told us that the boy was asked in school to write down 3 things he loves and 3 things he hates.. 2 of his hates were, "shrek" and the "munichs".. how sad is that... have heard him say that as well,even the city fans despise him.. have been close to smackin people over comments about h/boro and munich but why lower myself to their level. cheers

We played City in a pre-season friendly last season in Manchester. Horrible atmosphere. They had this UVF flag and were chanting "u,u,uvf" whilst doing Nazi salutes. They were throwing coins over as well. Quite a bit of trouble after the game. I've been all over watching my team, like many of you guys and I can honestly say that City (& Blackburn) fans are some of the worst I've come across.

we all have a minorities of fans who spout the verbal and cause fights but most in general are pretty good and a lot can drink together before and after the game in good humour yes there are times when things can get heated

the people who usually cause bother just go for the sole purpose of a tear up of which there is no place in football

Hope so mate those away goals are priceless and if we dont have any for the 2nd leg it just gives you the willies, even if your 2-0 it never feels safe. I would take a score draw tonight but a win would be beautiful.

Only player that stopped United not to win with more goals.

well got the score right, but could easily have been 4 or 5 nil, even giggs and rooney said they were dissapointed didnt score more "dont know weather they just froze or they have just been found out against a class per formance".

You could be right they aint really played anyone decent except Inter and although the score suggests otherwise Inter could have battered them to death.
Very nervous of this Schalke team but they really did look shit we should have had a couple more goals and booking the coach to Wembley tonight. Seriously if they get 3 goals at Old Trafford and knock us out I will paint my arse red and show it the mother in law.

Speaking of arseholes we got Wengers lot up next lmao glad we managed rest a few of the lads

i noticed fergie making a bee line for him after the game he looked like he was trying to make an impression

apparantly its a "done deal" for bayern to get him in summer

but if not i would try and get him i like the look of him he looks like a keeper if you know what i mean i see similarities between him and schmiechel

i would be pretty happy tbh although VDS has hinted he may stay on for another year be interesting as i think he has had his best season for us this year

Peter schmeichel has urged Utd not to give up on Manuel Neuer, I hope they dont give up on him however Neuer has been quoted saying he will only leave Germany to go on holiday, but money talks we will have to wait and see
