              Come on UTD
              Sir Alex Ferguson in 1988

"This isn't just a job to me." "It's a mission. I am deadly serious about it. Some people would reckon too serious. We will get there, believe me. And when it happens, life will change for Liverpool and everyone else - dramatically."

              Sir Alex Ferguson. (20)

Wayne Rooney 'accepts Manchester United training performance fine'

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has accepted a fine for his performance in training following a night out, BBC Sport understands.
Rooney went for a meal on Boxing Day with his wife and fellow players Darron Gibson and Jonny Evans.
Despite no suggestion they misbehaved or drank too much, Sir Alex Ferguson was unhappy with their training performance the next day.
Rooney was fined one week's wages, and has accepted the punishment.
The player, who was dropped for United's defeat by Blackburn on Saturday, is understood to want to draw a line under the matter and get back on the pitch.
Evans and Gibson are also reported to have been fined and were also left out of the United squad for the Boxing Day match.
It has been reported that Ferguson made them come in on Wednesday - a designated day off - and train on their own.
United take on Newcastle at the Sports Direct Arena on Wednesday.
Love this post (I assume your a pool fan mt ).
All involved seem to get banned from the Blackburn game and rumors of a fine for each player for going on the piss on boxing day. Good general discipline and well deserved from my point of view.
A player admits to calling another player a negro whilst clearly involved in a verbal dispute on the pitch and the pool manager comes out wearing a tee-shirt. Laugable really.

I don't know why you didn't quote the post I made after that one, when I said Fergie was absolutely right, my point was why did he lie to the media and say Rooney was injured...it wasn't gutter press papers, it was his actual quote on tv before the match.

Anyway doesn't matter, its time for a few drinks.

                            cheers.

Can't afford him mate thats the truth of the matter.
The Glaziers are killing the club. Newcastle deserved it tonight well organised and dissaplined, we were never realy in the game.
If we can't afford another center mid Scholes for 6 months 10 times the player than we have at the moment. Anderson made a differance against Blackburn but again tonight looked a fish out of water and befor anyone says it, it kills me to say as Im united since I was 4.
