Poor show again today our frontmen are getting us out of jail to often and covered up what was pretty inept performance i have not been on much so here is my season so far rant

de gea wants his contract terminating asap i would swap him for any keeper in the EPL he is a walking disaster a decent shot stopper maybe but he puts pressure on the team as they look nervous at the back simply because they have no faith

they go for balls the keeper should claim cos they know he will **** it up

Evra i was massive fan but he is going missing far to often can see why manager wants new blood

Rafael can be a great but when is he going to calm down very rash and caught out of position all the time

people say Ferdinands on the way out but believe me any defender in the world would struggle to cover for the three i have just mentioned beforehand plus lack of consistent partner dont help

midfield is as bad as i can remember people are lauding cleverley what has he done?? he aint going to be a world beater ever ok squad player thats it his passing is too poor and he lacks the killer pass

**** knows where anderson the flying attacking porto midfielder went he now seems to be a holding sideways crab which leaves fletcher who has colitis (same as me) and misses lots of games carrick who on his day can be good buts a bit slow which leaves scholes at aged 72 our best player still

nani?? wtf happened to him giggs is just a cameo although can provide some killer passes

valencia is pretty consistent but struggles against better opposition as he has no skill like nani just kick and run pace however his final ball is good

jones and smalling who knows whats in store for them i cant see either being the heart of our defence for years to come which leaves the frontmen

wellbeck, rooney,v persie and little pea not a bad outfit and van persie has slotted in well there are signs lately of him and rooney gelling

But would we not have been better strengthening other areas i think fergie seems to buy players like my son does on fifa lately

the only plus points this season is city are struggling a bit so far and did not in my opinion make themselves any stronger chelsea now seem the ones to beat and we cant afford to keep giving goals away like this or they will be out of sight

Nicky Butt has returned to Manchester UTD.

The former Old Trafford and England midfielder has completed his coaching badges and is working under United's reserve coach Warren Joyce.

Butt, who made almost 400 appearances for United, is using the opportunity to gain some experience and Sir Alex Ferguson is pleased to welcome back a 'fantastic servant' of the club.

"Nicky is with the reserves," the United boss told the club's official website.

"He's completed his badges and is just getting a bit of experience with us so there's every chance of that [him going into management].

"He's had a few opportunities to take on jobs but wanted just a wee bit of a chance to revisit the training ground again to get himself back into sync, which we're happy to do because he was a fantastic servant to us.

"I don't know what his long-term future is but, in the meantime, he's helping out with the reserves.
        Sir Alex Ferguson in 1988

"This isn't just a job to me." "It's a mission. I am deadly serious about it. Some people would reckon too serious. We will get there, believe me. And when it happens, life will change for Liverpool and everyone else - dramatically."

        Sir Alex Ferguson. (20)

Are you for real we are the leading scorers in the EPL yes we are leaking goals but we haven't had the same back four play since the later of last season and only to be pipped by man city in injury time for the league. We have played only 8games and your telling me how bad we are get real m8. The only team so far that has played us off the field was Everton which gave us a wake up call look at the table look were Everton are and United are plus Spurs. We have a good team and we will be up there at the end of season as we have been for the last 20 years IMO you have stuck the knife in the majority of the players can't beleive you didn't put rooney in there with them like you did last year

Not rooney fan he has seems disinterested at utd for some time but i will say he has picked up a little in his last couple of games with vp

now if you think 2 defeats in 8 games is the makings of a world class side i think you have big rose tinted glasses

we have not played chelsea, arsenal or man city we have had a fairly easy start to the season and lost twice.

You might be happy to be second on goal difference i am not, yes we may be top scorers but that is just papering over the cracks

4 points behind after 8 games conceded 11 in 8 not a good start IMO and i dont think fergie will be happy with much from saturday either apart from the result

Someone has infatuations about footballers dressing up as Bond.

I would rather play bad and win games whichever way we do it at the minute we have a poor back 4 and thats where our problem is when we get all 3 back fully fit we will be ok. going forwards were looking stronger than ever. is any game in the prem an easy game?? I think we can only get better this season, Last night again we were very poor at the back but we still won and it wasn't in Fergies time!!! Smallings back in trainning Jones will be back very soon and Vidic 5-6 weeks all we need to do up untill then is score more goals and after Xmas you will see we will be having clean sheet after clean sheet!! Keep The Red Flag flying High!!

Give them credit 2 down then they bang in 3,,one foot in the door for the next stage. What if chelsea's or city's back four were out injured and a limited MF,, would they be up there with us,, or would as you say a world class team be at there best.
As for last night the first half hour and the last 10min we were poor other then that we were in control. Watched the chelsea game and they were lucky it was only 2/1 they were beaten.

i take your points on board

and i do understand we have injuries but they are nearly all internationals it wasnt a youth team squad

if we are serious about winning trophies we need some massive expenditure or a crop of superstars to pop in from youth

IMO we are not good enough and as a squad have got steadily worse each season since 2008

Sir Alex Ferguson favours Pep Guardiola as his successor at Manchester United | Football News | ESPN.co.uk

Sir Alex Ferguson is understood to now favour Pep Guardiola as his eventual successor at Manchester United.
On Tuesday, the club's vice-chairman Ed Woodward said that the Old Trafford hierarchy know what "type of manager" will succeed Ferguson, while it was reported in the Spanish press in the summer that Ferguson had met Guardiola in New York.
ESPN has learnt, however, that chief executive David Gill and a member of the Glazer family also met the former Barcelona manager, who left his role at the Camp Nou after four successful years, at that time.
While a United source said that the meeting was "informal", the future is understood to have been discussed.
For his part, Guardiola is known to view United as a particularly attractive proposition. Although he retains interest in Chelsea, AC Milan and Bayern Munich, the Catalan is said to find the sense of history and atmosphere at Old Trafford especially enticing.
In his entire Barcelona career as both a player and manager, Guardiola - who, as a player, was targeted by Ferguson but ultimately signed for Brescia - faced United more than any other English side, and a Catalan source said the club have always fascinated him.
Ferguson and United do not just see Guardiola as one of the few coaches with the required strength of personality to take on such a massive job after the Scot eventually retires, but also an ideal fit given his commitment to both youth and attacking football.
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has previously been seen as Ferguson's successor-in-waiting but, although the Red Devils manager retains a good relationship with the Portuguese, other members of the club's hierarchy - particularly Bobby Charlton - are said to be less keen due to a perceived short-term approach.
While the expected date of Ferguson's retirement remains, as ever, undetermined, the manager is widely known to want a significant say in who succeeds him and for the necessary structures to be put in place beforehand for a seamless transition.
When Ferguson was last expected to retire in 2002, only to perform a U-turn, he expressed his dismay that the club had lined up Sven Goran-Eriksson. The United boss criticised the Swede for "not changing much" at his teams.
He is now determined to ensure there is no repeat of that situation and that the right person is in place to prolong his legacy.
On Tuesday, chief executive Woodward said: "We have a view as to what type of manager we want and how and when we'll go about it. But it's in the drawer and long mat it stay in the drawer."

I've been saying D Moyes for years, nobody has agreed with me though.
