    United land ?8m Gab

ALEX FERGUSON has bagged Bordeaux midfielder Gabriel Obertan.

The 20-year-old, regarded as one of France's hottest prospects, passed a medical at Manchester United yesterday.

And he will tie up an ?8million transfer when he pens a four-year contract today.

Obertan, who can play in a central midfield role or up front, had hoped to return home to Bordeaux after his physical check-up.

But United chiefs told him he must start training with his new team-mates this morning.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Inter Milan had been watching the youngster.

yeah in this day and age that's a nominal fee for a Premier League player. If he makes it it's a bargain. If he doesn't make it, it won't be such a big deal. We payed far too much for Nani and Anderson for the stage of their career that they were at ans we shouldn't make the same mistakes again.

ROONEY GOAL GIVES UNITED THE POINTS

I know it was ONLY the brum but any 1-0 win is always a good day at the office imo
Thought Rooney was pick of the bunch, but Evra also looked sharp

The fact that the fools lost 2-1 to spurs made it a good day and a good start to the season all round.
              Bring on Burnley wednesday night!!

                  THE TRUTH
                  The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

For ~~~~ sake what a shite result tonight.. Watched it on sopcast and United dominated play but couldnt score.
And what was Carrick doing taking a penalty??
Why didn't Roo step up and take it? or Owen or even Anderson for that matter, who always seems to bang em in penalty shoot-outs?
If we can take any positives, its that is so early in the season it might give us a kick up the arse.
In saying that in the last 2 seasons we only took 5pts from our first 4 games.. so still optimistic, but disappointed.

i get pretty fcuked off when the mancs come into our thread and start gobbing it off.. i'm sure they think the same when comments like that are posted..

i have learned from bitter experience that all this does is lead to heated tit for tat exchanges which can turn nasty..

This should be a place where the Utd fans can talk without getting their ear bent..

I look at it like this.. would you go into a Utd pub and start mouthing that off.. No.. well i dont advise it here..

open threads are fair game but i think the Liverpool thread should be for Liverpool fans and the Utd thread for Utd fans..

If its a genuine comment then i think thats ok but if its for the sake of winding each other up i think it should be left..

What do the mancs in here think..??

Owen is the signing of the season what a replacement for C. Ronaldo, not only has he become slower but his reaction time is absuitly dreadful , After tonight I think Owen will have a permanent spot on the bench, only coming on to give Berbatov or Rooney a rest .....

At the moment Owen is even writing himself out of Fabio Capello little notebook for that seat to South Africa next Summer !

Rooney looks lost with out his old striking partner Ronaldo and then you got Berbatov who does nothing strutting up and down the pitch with his hair-net waiting for that one pass ! (what a waister)

What are the chances over the weekend Wigan slip a few behind United ! mmmh

                              Regards:

I hear what your sayin m8, but i think if we get turned over by Burnley then we're fair game for a bit of pizz taking,
as Liverpool fans are, after getting beaten by Spurs, (which doesnt look as bad now as first seemed)

Maybe we should open another thread, one for football, where we can all have a bit of clean banter and try and keep insults out.
And keep the club threads for the respective Fans??
