Ok I'll try to dumb this down for you..

5life asked who the green brigade were, a perfectly good question as he didn't seem to know. I answered something like "they are a singing section, a fan group simular to what Rangers have in the blue order and Aberdeen have in the Red Ultras. That was the only reference to Rangers Johnybhoy. This whole issue has nothing to do with Rangers.

Now will you answer my questions???

there banner was aimed at current wars we have going on and past ones which poppy is standing for! And the name is lfc4life and have to go back to work.. And i know never said ira which say sorry for! But come get my name right ffs p.s i did READ your posts!

I haven't got a clue what you just said, but for your information the poppy appeal is not soley for the 2 world wars. The majority of money raised goes to the British legion who I think distribute it to ex service men & women/familes who have fought in all conflicts (including north Ireland) - not just the 2 world wars.

That is what I was trying to say to you ages ago, that I believe this was what the banner was about - the fact that certain fans will not support it because of what British troops have done in Ireland).

I have already said that I didn't agree with the banner at the game, but I also think (or believe) this to be a free country and the people who unveiled the banner are not breaking any laws.

As you will know, being a 'so called' Liverpool fan (Liverpool, Celtic & Man U are known to be socially aware/active fans) Sport & Politics does mix - unfortunatley. Politics effcets all of our lives.

Boomer, I think the ref to Ireland is that innocent civilian lives have been lost in these countries at the hands of (not only) British troops.

Don't know what 9/11 & 7/7 has got to do with it?? As far as I know these were terrorist attacks made by UK nationals -in the case of 7/7 & Iraq was nothing to do with 9/11. But I agree re putting it to bed.
