You think South Africa was a world of corruption wait til they play in Russia. Now with Qatar we are going to see the first world cup played indoors since it will be 120 degrees in the day and 110 degrees at night. Way to go FIFA.

        Sour grapes...

Why are the BBC to blame? Look at the FA and there history of making deals with other associations - then reneging on them. Look at the hooligan problem that still exist in England - rioting on the pitch after the '2nd city derby' the night before the vote!

Here we go again...... you seen the what happened! WE would have staged the best world cup going out of the countries that were there to be voted for! But then the only sour grapes are clearly running from north of the border. We had all the world class stadiums in place..... but we will see what happens!

p.s we have a violent minority of fans but all MAJOR countries have them too ...... But i forget we cannot include the other two countries in the uk mainland in that

            What?

Don't know what you are saying there??

Sour grapes from "north of the border" why??? what is there for Scottish people to get sour grapes about??? and you seem to think it's ok to have a "violent minority like all MAJOR countries"??? Oh that's ok then LFC4life... all major countries in football have a "violent minority". Brazil - do they have a violent minority, Spain has a racist minority, but I don't think they have a violent minority.

The point is that the BBC is not to blame for England not getting the world cup. Look beyond the easy 'kop' out LFC4life (see what I did there - that's for you). The FA has burnt several bridges with other associations and I think you will find that's the mean reason why Eng didn't get the world cup.

Though I riot at a game the night before voting, in one of the cities that was due to stage group games will not have gone down well.

Lfc4life, all people do not have the same opinion as you or me and on a democratic forum that's ok is it not?

You have disagreed with me many a time on here - like I have you. It's one of those things. Chillax..

You're right mate it's all about the money in football now.

As for bidding countries like Russia knowing they have got certain votes - countries do deals with other countries to get there votes, as well as lobbying. This has happened for a long time and was one reason why Eng got Euro 96 (like I mentioned on the other thread re this subject).
