Possibly, but just as likely to be the Sun gradually fizzling out, as it will eventually.

Again, that's a possibility: but given the path of evolution so far, it's also possible that we might have evolved into something other than 'mankind'.

I'm with Nara on Mankind evolving. I've already noticed more red headed people with Scottish accents knocking about so we're definately evolving.
