The rocks closest approach to the planet is scheduled for February 15, 2013, when the distance between the planet and space wanderer will be under 27,000 km (16,700 miles). This is lower than the geosynchronous orbit kept by the Google Maps satellite.


It's also been scientifically proven that no-one can predict the precise path of an object this size so far in advance.
There are simply too many variables.

The nearer the object gets then the dates can go either forward or back as well. It would be interesting if this got moved to around December 2012.

Your quite right the sun is halfway through its lifespan and only 6 billions years left to figure out space travel and find a new world.

Before our sun collapses in to a white dwarf it will grow many times its size and consume Earth what a way to go.

The Bible also says that there will be a second coming of Jesus Christ and that he will reign on Earth for 1000 years. Since he hasn't been back yet then I'm not in the slightest bit worried about the world ending in 3 years time.
