Yes, it matters. There are about 4 or 5 different ways & processes to unlock an Iphone. Along with associated problems & issues, depending on the software & baseband (Modem).

The best way to unlock an iphone is to contact your service provider o2,vodaphone or whatever and pay them to unlock it. It only costs about 20-30 quid and if you are pay as you go they will take it off your balance and text you back when its unlocked. Doing it this way is better as the phone is now unlocked for life no matter what firmware is on the thing and no pussyfooting about trying to preserve basebands etc..

they say it could take up2 14day i got mine within 48houres

its on tmobile and they said ?50 I took it 2 a shop and they said 4.3.3 softhwear can not be unlocked

For a long term permanent unlocking solution ?50 would still be cheap......

You need to check your Baseband(Modem Firmware) needs to be 1.59 to be able to software unlock...

The Rebel SIM Pro should unlock this without having to jailbreak. But if you update the software it will stop working.


Changed my mind, think the Rebel SIM is for the Ishite 4
