updating iso on phone

hi guys looking for a bit of help i have downgraded from 06.15 to 05.13.04 using this Dev-Team Blog ,
my iphone is ver 4.2.1 model mc132B and running firmware as above . is there a safe why to update the iso and still have it JB and unlock??? phone is a 3gs

Yes mate...connect to iTunes...Back Up iPhones....Update iPhone to 5.1.1 with iTunes....then Jailbreak with Absinthe 2.0.4.....Also make sure you have the latest iTunes installed on your computer...

THankd m8 i have all my shsh blobs saved in cydia will i need to save them to my pc ??? if so would you know how this is done

SHSH not needed for what your doing....

Make sure your on the LATEST version of iTunes.....
All you will be doing is a standard firmware update....
Make sure you Restore 3GSto 5.1.1 as a "New Device" with iTunes...
Jailbreak 3GS as soon as your on 5.1.1 then think about restoring from backup on iTunes if you want...

3 make backup of iphone in itunes done
4 jb with absinthe-win-2.0.4 ( will i lose my shsh blobs in cydia if i JB again ???)
5 do i use redsnow to unlock phone again ????

If you need to unlock you will have to make sure you preserve your baseband (05.13.04)...

Otherwise it will be updated to a version you cannot Unlock....

ok guys is this right

1 preserve your baseband (05.13.04) with redsNow

2 update iphone ISO in itunes then (put phone in DFU mode)

3 reinstall preserved baseband made with redsNow in itunes

4 jailbreak again with redsNow OR absinthe-win-2.0.4

No mate...
1-Download 5.1.1 firmware to computer
2-Use redsn0w to build a custom firmware(this will preserve your baseband)
3-Then use iTunes to install the custom firmware onto your 3GS....

ok guys sorry for pi**ing you guys off can i ask if this is now right just to be 100% clear


1 downloaded sn0wbreeze-v2.9.6

2 download ios iPhone2,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore firmware using sn0wbreeze-v2.9.6

3 go to browes for an ipsw and load iPhone2,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore with sn0wbreeze

4 i need to pick my bootrom (i pick detect it for me ) and comes back as new bootrom

5 comes back as iphone 3gs 5.1.1 (9b206) ipsw verified

6 now i go to baseband preservation mode and let it make a custom firmware

7 new custom firmware is now sn0wbreeze_iPhone_3GS-5.1.1-9B206

8 now put phone into PWNED DFU STATE

9 now open itunes and do shift + restore and use new custom firmware is now sn0wbreeze_iPhone_3GS-5.1.1-9B206

all done i hope just won,t to be 100% before i try this

also will this wipe everything from my phone ???? apps, pics and music or do i make a backup of phone

Ok your using sn0wbreeze now....the steps you listed are correct...don't forget to BACKUP with iTunes....

You can use PKGbackup to backup and reinstall all your Cydia tweaks,apps,themes, Good luck

was having some probs with redsnow and win 7 could not get it to work at all , then wen't for sn0wbreeze that started of well then got stuck went back to redsnow on the laptop with win xp and work well had to up date to ipad ios 6.15 and then downgrade again then unlouck with ultasnow, all working now running ios 5.1.1 unlocked and downgraded to 5.13.04 , did not do a back up off tweaks,apps,themes as i was having some errors before
