i went from a 3g to the iphone 4. so for me its a massive improvement. i was also amazed at how much the old 3g was still worth to be honest!

the iphone 4 is obviously much better, the screen resolution is amazing, and the speed increase is great too. cant get my head around what this multitasking stuff is supposed to do though? oh and as power33, the battery is a huge improvement, although it seems to take much longer to charge.

i was in two minds about the iphone 4 and the htc desire, and to be honest im still not convinced i made the right choice. once you get past the improvements of the iphone, its, still, well, just another iphone, so nothing really new there!

just waiting on the jailbreak now

Yeh i noticed it takes longer to charge, but its worth it in the long run. And im waiting for jailbreak too, aparently comex is going to release a spirit jailbreak for the Iphone 4 soon.

Have you noticed the "bad reception"? I mean apple totally failed with the antenna..... If you take it in your hand and close antenna with your hand you will loose network... FAIL!!
Ofcource iphone 4 is awesome phone, cool features, but this big fail could be avoided..... It would be a lot cooler without this ptroblem... :/

I can live with poor reception for now, we will see what the next update from Crapple brings, might fix it might not, I doubt it though, as It's a hardware design fault, not a software fault ?.
Once jailbroken etc we'll see if it's as good as the 3GS, I think it might just be !

i havent had any issues with the signal/antenna yet with mine. yes the signal does drop if you cup it in your hands, but then does any other phone. you just have to be a little careful how you hold it in low signal areas, just like i had to do with my old 3g iphone.

as for the "fix" that apple are talking about to fix the aerial issues, what an absolute joke! i know it would cost them a fortune to admit that it was a poor design or whatever. but you cannot put the aerial on the outside of the phone and expect nothing to change when its touched.

but as with most things from apple, the signal issues seem to have been blown out of proportion

Has anyone seen the UK advert for this model. Notice what hand every single person holds the phone in. Yet Steve Jobs said to hold it in the other hand because of signal problems.

Everyone in the advert is a leftie, and thats apparently what blocks the signal. Check it out if you aint seen it. Just goes to show that apple did the advert before release, and secondly, that they never actually tested the phone properly. Just a bit of random trivia for ya.

Hello.. just to give you a heads up: I had a chance to use an official German T-Mobile iPhone 4 32GB. It was a pleasure to use (had it for 1 day).

I did try to reproduce the antenna issue everyone is writing about (by covering the lower parts of the antenna with your left hand). I did not have any issues. The signal was still srong and no dropped calls.

It wasn't that that got me with the ads. Pushing their version of video calling in such ludicrous scenarios. Even if you missed the small print about needing a wi-fi connection & will only work between Iphone 4's.... What happens if you try to even look at your phone while having a scan in hospital? Dirty looks & a lecture about damaging the equipment. But to even think you'll get an open wi-fi connection in a hospital & have a signal at the same time..... Ya dreaming there matey.

Well here?s my input. I have had 3 different iPhone 4?s already..
My very first one had some issues with the camera not working/opening.
My second one had yellow spots all over the screen. Very upset.

So I?ve did a comparison, both phones were an early batch, meaning they were WEEK 29 phones.
It goes as early as WEEK 25 (USA Launch Units). In Canada we got the WEEK 31 units for retail sale. These units were great, the screen yellow spot issues were fixed and the reception was perfect.
The iPhone 4 does receive weaker reception compared to the 3GS.

Here?s a link to how you can decode your serial so you know which WEEK it was produced in.

How to decode your iPhone serial number | ZDNet

Once you get a perfectly working iPhone 4, the phone is amazing. I can?t stress how good it feels compared to the previous phone. It has a nice weight to it, it feels expensive! The screen is VERY sharp, and VERY visible during the day, there is no glare what so ever. I am extremely happy with this phone.

I've attached some photos of my iPhone 4.
