i just upgraded to 4.2.1 and it was pretty easy to do.. i recommend everyone to purchase PKGBACKUP first and before upgrading and backup all your cydia app and tweaks.
run PKGBACKUP and then sync with PC , update firmware, run green posion, install cydia, install PKGBACKUP, restore from from backup all cydia tweaks restored.. all done in 35 minutes.. the longest part was downloading the firmware..!Comment

he Chronic Dev-Team has released Greenpois0n RC6 with support for jailbreaking the Apple TV.
In addition to the Apple TV support, RC6 fixes emulator issues.
You can apply RC6 over RC5 without restoring. Download it GreenPois0nComment

I've the 3GS on 4.2.1 with 05.15.04 baseband, so if I take the plunge and update to the ipad baseband and jailbreak, then will that mean I will absolutely never ever be able to return the iphone back to normal just like the way it is now?
Or is it that there may be a future release greenpoison that I can reflash over this jailbreak that can let me restore back to original firmware even after updating to ipad baseband?
Or if I just wait, will there ever be a greenposion release that works for my settings, that will let me restore in itunes if I want to go back?... I really want to make sure I can go back to original phone settings if I don't like the jailbreak thing. So will a version like that come along for these settings?
Thanks for any infoComment

Div question here, what advantage do you get with this. I have 3gs with 4.2.1 software, I done this greenposion jailbreak last night but just could not see what it does, when I booted the phone I had a scary apple going round and round but when it booted it was the same as before nothing had changed, I did click on the new icon and download the software and then had another new icon that I looked into but didnt really see or know what it done ???Comment

You can jailbreak, you just wouldn't want to unlock... If you just want jailbreak then use greenpoisen rc6....you only can't restore to stock firmware if you update your baseband to ipads me thinksI've the 3GS on 4.2.1 with 05.15.04 baseband, so if I take the plunge and update to the ipad baseband and jailbreak, then will that mean I will absolutely never ever be able to return the iphone back to normal just like the way it is now?
