I can't work out if my IMEI is blocked or not.
Have baseband updated to 6.15.0 with Redsnow, then jailbroke using greenpoison RC6 and then the ultrasnow unlock.
Thing is I only have 2 sim cards to try with it an O2 and Vodafone(I'm assuming the phone was locked to O2).. so before I did the above the vodafone name never use to come up on the phone corner(just searching, then no service), but now it does, so something seems right. But no signal and it won't stay on it(the name), keeps going to "no service" and telling me "the network carrier you have selected is restricted" when I'm going through menus, and selecting a carrier
So has ultrasnow done its thing or not? I can't understand why it keeps bickering me when I'm picking a carrier. It tells me its restricted even though I just press DISMISS and contiune. the name comes up sometimes but the bars are all flat and 1 only rises when I turn 3G on and off, then it goes back down to flat again... then eventually it will say "no service" again
Sometimes I get a message on the homescreen saying "Activating- this may take some time" but I just press dismiss. What does that mean? I have tried all the usual stuff seen on youtube like turning airplane mode on and off and taking sim in and out and have even re installed ultrasnow. but its the same everytime... the sim cards I have are about 3yrs old but still work in normal phones, any chance that may be the prob?
Anyone know if this is normal for a blocked phone? But why won't it atleast stay on the carrier name and just not give me a signal? And why does it keep telling me that the carrier is restricted? If the phone is now unlocked doesn't that mean it jumps carriers without warnings.
My mate in Aus is gonna line up a swap for me, but I don't really know what the craic is with it . I don't wanna swap if the antenna may be broke, maybe thats whats doing it., But then, it does pick up the carrier name, so....
Anyone know whats happening, it's doing my head in testing all these methods to fix it but with the same outcome.
Cheers
