It didn't work I get a message menu? on my ds screen

that means the card cant find the firmware.

what do you have on sd card?

you should have

1. a folder called "_aio"
2. a file called "akmenu.nds"
3. some games

the firmware has to be put on root of sd card, if the _aio folder and akmenu file are put inside a folder, then card won't work.....

I am going to buy a new acekard as mine is probably fake, the website where I bought it is down.

if its a fake acekard then the newer akaio fimrware wont work on it....

Ok here's an update.

I sent my acekard back and they sent me a replacement. It took about 9 weeks for the replacement to come through and to be honest I thought I wasn't going to hear from the company again and sold my DS XL.

Tested the card on my nephews DSL and it works, well almost, loads of 60% of all games though im still having issues with white screens. Some ROMs that I managed to load on the old card wont load so I know it's not the roms.

Also on the new Acekard there's no anti-counterfiet number on the back. Does that mean it's a fake?

The reason why the old card wasn't working was because the locking mechanism on the micro SD slot had broken. On the old card there was no mechanism and the micro sd use to just slide in and out.

if there is no anti couterfit stciker on it then it will be fake....

if roms arent loading then you need to update to latest akaio firmware on sd card

you might have a problem with your card being a clone though.

some clones wont run on the newer firmware....

I've installed akaio 1.8.7 when I tested it so does that mean the card isnt a fake? Is it possible the card could be a refurb? It occured to me the reason it took so long to replace was that the card was sent to china and repaired.

if you want to risk it you can try doing the 1.4.3 update.

if it works then your can will work on 1.4.3, but they say there is a slim chance of bricking fakes.....

It's quite easy to distinguish a genuine acekard card from a fake one.Go to the reverse side of the card, there is a anti-fake paper,tear off the paper and you will see the security code. After you get the security code. Login this page: Acekard Anti-Counterfeit Code Check fill in your security code and click check
You will see the result as below if your acekard 2i is genuine...BTW, akaio kernel has been updated to 1.8.8
