3DS R4 CARD

hi members i really dont no much about the the new 3ds console so i'm hoping you guys can guide me through
is the 3ds compatible with a r4 card if so has anyone got a good reliable site that they can suggest

to be honest theres loads of different types of cards out there for the 3ds but i havent a clue which is best and so far it looks like no one else has a clue either

Hi friend,
I'm also a user od 3DS system. As for what I know, till now there are no 3DS R4cards ora acekards or any others that can run ROM files of 3DS games. The only widely known project was CROWN3DS (Crown3DS Card Which Supports 3DS Games - crown3ds.com) but the progress is really slow and I think that it will take a lot more time to finish it.
As for carts that can be used for 3DS. I've checked once my R4 card that I'm using in my old DS and everything worked well, so the DS games compatibility is ok. I've also read that DSi games are working properly.

hi NICETOBNICE,got my flash card from there(R4 3DS | R4i 3DS | R4 Card 3DS | Flash Card 3DS For N3DS) works fine with the 3DS,prob is as of yet u can only play ds+dsi games with card,u can not play 3D games,just make sure u dont update 3DS console thou,if u do your card will not work.

so if you did ever update the console by mistake would you have to update the r4 card ?

also i read that theres lots of different cards on the market and the best is supposatly the r4i gold card why is this ?
i'm in a right mess here havent a clue what to go for

hi,NICETOBNICE,yes if u update 3DS, u will have to update card,but this can only be done by putting new software on card compatible with firmware u updated to,only prob is u can not update card on 3DS, but u can update on ds or dsi,then put it in 3DS and will work ok,dont no about diff in cards but the one u r looking at works perfect mate (R4 3DS | R4i 3DS | R4 Card 3DS | Flash Card 3DS For N3DS)

prob is u can not update card on 3DS, but u can update on ds or dsi,then put it in 3DS and will work ok,

card has wifi on it to update it on console,once u update 3DS (with the latest firmware) it does not let u update it on 3DS,so u have 2 update via DS orDSI with the update feature on the card,hope this helps NICETOBNICE

so i have to have a dsi as well as the 3ds just in case it updates on the 3ds ?

yes mate unless u no somebody with DS or DSI,just dont update,i only discovered this cos the kids updated it,all it is the latest firmware blocks the 3DS flashcart

so is there a way to stop updates on the 3ds or may be a card that doent matter if the 3ds is updated ?
