Having problems as I'd thought I'd just be able to use the micro SD card that I have.
... however it is 8GB.

Is there any way of using this? I have noticed folk saying 1 or 2GB cards only.

My R4 cartridge has R4 SDHC Revolution fro DS (NDSL/NDS) on it.
I have a DSlite

I have formatted the sdcard, then I tried both V1.18 and Wood. All I did was Unzip them and copy the contents onto the card. I'm assuiming that is what i'm meant to do.

The instructions I found kept talking about putting them in the root directory. I'm assuming that just means not in a folder.
I haven't added any other folders. Is it essential to have a games folder when testing the firmware?

if the card says sdhc on it then it is not an original r4 card and the woods firmware wont work.

with original r4 cards you cannot use a sdhc card.

root directry means puttin the files on the sd without putting in any folder
