woods firmware is for original r4 cards only....
well thats not exactly true anymore, there is woods firmware for some r4i cards.

if you post the website printed on your card and any details printed on it, i wll try to find the best firmware for you.

on the point of sav file extensions,
diffrent cards use diffrent file extensions.
acecards are .sav and r4 cards are .nds.sav (i think)
so when swopping sd cards between gamecarts it is possible to change toi sav file extension o it will be recognised by the new card....

how old is the card?
does it work in a 1.4 or 1.4.1 dsi?

It says V1.4 in like a yellow star but i've updated firmware several times since i've had it.
I think the card maybe about 18 months but not exact. It was bought well before the ban from a reputable shop I got the R4i as it takes bigger gb sd cards. I have the NDS lite. Hope this helps if not please ask. Donka

Hi is this the a woods version as i can't see woods anywhere on the download link or is this something else what will get all the games to work including the harry potter lego cheers again.

Just looked and i had this on a while back then updated to R4i V1.25 which is on my ds now. The problem is only with this 1 game Harry Potter and all i've read is it will need the woods r4 to play. So will have a little play around and maybe try that link you sent as mine may be corrupt and if that doesn't work see if anyone else with a r4i has managed to sort it. I do appreciate your help and will let you know how i get on thanks Donka.

To barrowmanandrew he's some bullsh*t. After trying to get this game working months ago i couldn't, so after reading other people with the same problem started trying to find a solution. After all this i just had another go without changing any firmware and what do you know it seems to be working. I say seems as the game seems ok but won't know if all the functions work until the wee boy gets home and tries it out, but here's hoping. Cheers mate for your help Donka.

maybe your sd card need formatting,

this firmware uploaded ny micky dibble might work on your card as well.

hi, need some help, i have an R4i card v1.4 for ds (ndsi/ndsl/nds). on the sd card which goes inside, its a 8gb micro sdhc. on this are the following folders;
r4i.tp file TTMENU R4MENU data dsxreader games system skin plugins ndsmail and moonshl2.

at present it plays most of the games on the card but not all, have tried to copy across the file from the woodr4_v1.23 but that only had an rpg folder and dsmenu dat file, and didi not work. i must be doing something wrong, any help to update the firmware much appreciated.

Wood1.23 is only for original r4 cards not your card try this Digital Kaos - Downloads - r4i 1.30b kernel for r4i version 1.4 also 1.4.1 be sure to format card and save your games/sav files first.

ok so i unzipped that download, and it contains just moonmemo folder moonshl2 folder R4menu folder and R4 dat file. do i just now put all this onto the formatted sdcard? with my games folder and thats it?
