Hey,

Today we found the charger for my girlfriend Nintendo DS Lite. It has an

R4
SDHC
R4-III Upgrade
Revolution for DS
(NDSL/NDS)

The Card Itself



This card (and DS) was bought a few years back by her ex. Since digging out the charge and the fact we do alot of airmiles now, i decided to start playing it. The current firmware/software still works.

Problem is, i have been trying to play FIFA Soccer 2011 on it but i keep getting the error code when launching this game. I have read that its because its a "newer" game and has protection. This protection im aware can be bypassed with newer firmare.

Any of you guru's have an knowledge of this specific card and what firmware i should be looking for. I am very tech savvy (build computers and can create java/flash apps etc) but im a novice to the R4/NDS world of pirating.

I would really like to play this FIFA game. I have tried the linFox files for the R4III Upgrade but it does not work. I either get "menu?" error or "error?" error.

Most of them dont work, albeit one actualy loads with a different screen, but then hangs forever on the load screen. So effectively does not work. any help would be greatly appreciated. We fly back to London on 5th Feb so if i could get it working with FIFA by then i would be a very happy little man.

Update - error code when loading FIFA Soccer 2011 is

load rom errcode=-4

Update 2 - Currenty got Firmware R4IIISDHC_v3.07_English working. !!! but still the errcode=-4 problem when trying to load fifa.

that box doesnt look like the correct box for that card...

what size sd card are you using?

you may have an original r4 card,

this would mean you can use woods firmware.

back up and format your card

put latests woods firmware on your card

Digital Kaos - Downloads - woods 1.23

extract files and copy -rpg folder and ds.menu file to root of sd card.

I've got the same card and having trouble getting an updated kernal on it. Have tried quite a few already and even the woods one but all failed.

I'm going to give the one that I see on the downloads section thats specifically for this card a try shortly

what size of sd card are u using?

if its original r4 , then yes.

if the card says anything about sdhc then no

Download and extract and copy everything from the ysmenu folder to your sd card.

Start the card as normal and there should now be a ysmenu.nds that can be booted the same way you'd start a game, start it and another menu will pop up with all your games on.

The files that get the newer games to work without errors are included and the latest so fifa and that should work.

ps them r4 clone cards are a pile of old unsupported cack but with ysmenu and regular upadtes the newer games will work for now.

I have the same card as the picture hope the wood software works.

must try that on my R4 ds card - there seems to be a problem with the card as the ds doesnt read it when its inserted. has anybody got any ideas as to what the prob might be?

I have a R4 card which says SDHC beside the R4, will this woods software work. If I load a new game on this card it comes up with a white screen. Thanks.
