R4 loads blank screen on newer games?!?

Format properly and search your card for firmware!, woods is really for original cards r4 etc. Check your card whether it is still supported for fw through web ?

a little patience and some reading works wonders...

installled Woods 1.36b and put the affected games on and all was well with the world again!

I'm assuming the orig R4 software is maybe just out of date. Will try further investigations/experiments over the next few days, but i appreciate the responses and the comments

I am having the same problem.i have a R4i SDHC gold what can play N3DS but when i try and load the software all i have is spongebob icon and when i press it says error on one 3DS and on the other one it just says loading.

Any ideas

thank you so much barrowmanandrew, my games work great now. This new firmware works great on my original R4 card.

I do have one minor problem tho.

With this new "wood firmware" I can choose the games I want to play but I cannot see any text in the beginning menu. I see little icon pictures for the games I have in my games folder but no text to tell me what game they are. Also when I press select or start I see little side menus that popup and i can highlight choices (i think) but the text for those choices is not there. It just highlights the box around where you would think text would be. Anyone have any solutions?

im having the same problem iv tried to play the game and a message saying no sav file would you like to create one. when i do just a blank screen im only trying to play black ops

The r4 card i have is referenced R4SDHC revolution for DS NDSL/NDS. will the woods r1.24 download work for me.

Just to add, in my experience all firmware times out at six months and then requires latest firmware.

heya, i believe my firmware has already been long outdated. I am using DSTT, firmware ver 1.17A i guess? I'm having the same problem when i play some of the games it goes two blank screen on my nds. What can i do to fix it? thx.

I've tried installing the newest version of firmware but the games still cant be played. Once i've clicke into the game, two blank screens just stucked there. Any idea how to fix this? Pls enlighten me. Thank you...

Official support for the dstt card stopped years ago, that why newer games will not work.
There is good unofficial support available, google retrogame fan for more info. .
