playing dvd on wii

    yes, i did m8, ididnt play it,
    use a prepayed cridtcard for internet buying.
    would have had to go load sum cash on it...

    did you have any luck?

          As far as I have worked out you need to have usb2 installed which I can't get to install on mine or dvdx if it's an older wii. Try installing dvdx and see haw you go
          TRY DROPBOX 2GB + 500mb FREE ONLINE STORAGE with public sharing and 500mb for me

              After further reading I would not recommend using wii to play dvd's. Why you may ask. To read dvd's the disk is constantly spinning and lens is constantly reading ( a lot of use) as lens only reads wii games when loading them ( a lot less use and what it was intended for ) but if you really want the files just google mplayer dvdx or mplayer usb2 but personally I would buy one of them multi scart switcher thingys. I think they would be less hassle than replacing the wii drive or lens

                i would agree with that.

                i have both mplayer and wiimc installed,
                i can get dvd's to play on mplayer but
                the drive does make a hell of a racket and tbh it is awkward to work, specially for kids.

                i only use them for streaming......
