          SOLVED

Where it says 3.3 and 3.4 users just followed from that rather than skipping to upgrade straight away works fine most games are and homebrew all good . THANKS

                    This tutorial is now outdated.

Use the tutorials posted by dell HERE instead.

You don't need zelda and can use on any version up to and including 4.2.

I Just done one for my cousin yesterday on 4.2

I've got myself an Xbox to tinker with now
'He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy'.

Still an excellent guide if you have a 3.2,3.4 Wii and have a copy of Zelda.
Maybe an Admin can sticky this.

i followed this guide step by step for my wii 3.4e console.

by the looks of things everything went well and installed as I have the homebrew channel, uloader & I downgraded my firmware to version 3.2 - but now when i try to play a backup game via u loader i get the unable to open uloader error message from sd card? and yes the sd card is in my wii with everything on it.

can anyone help - do I have to uninstall everything i've done so far or ? is there a step I could have gone wrong on?

                              hi,
I have installed HBC during Feb09, using your tutorial. It worked like charm! I thanked you earlier on this post, but thank you again! Thank you for so many hours of fun which was only possible due to your tutorial! I was looking for something simple to understand and it was there!
I do have one more question, its now 1.5 years with ver 3.2E, and my games works fine. HBC automatically updates itself. As my use of games are very less so far, I never had any issues running new games. So far, all my games are old ones, max like Batman Lego or Spiderman web of.... and all these works fine. Now, should I update my firmware version?
I would like to know, if there is any benefit of updating the firmware? or will it be a loss as starfall will not work? and is there any simple tutorial available, like yours, to provide information on upgrading the firmware version, keeping my HBC and backup launcher intact. Thanks a lot again

theres no advantage in updating firmware, but its worth updating your cios with this Digital Kaos - Downloads - cios38 rev17 and updating your loader which ever one you use
