Hi all, I was hoping someone could offer me some advice please. I was hoping to softmod my wii but have come accross a problem. I have formated my sd card and added the softmod files to it but when I put the card into the wii and access the sd card there is nothing on it. I thought at first that i made a mistake adding the files to the sd card on the pc but they are definately there and I have tried this using 2 different sd cards. My wii is running 3.4e and I have made the changes to the twilight.bin file.
Is there a problem with my wii or am I just being a dumb blonde

Many thanks
format is using FAT
in Windows XP open up a command window (DOS box)
format x: /FS:FAT
ensure x is the drive letter for your SD card when connected to the PC
once format complete copy stuff back to sd card and the wii will see the contents
Thanks for your reply dell
All i did was copy the softmod files to the sd card, I can see the files on the card when in the pc but not in the wii. Am i doing that wrong?

what I meant to say is when you insert your sd card into the PC a drive letter is assigned (be it d e f g h etc) ass per my original post substitute the x for your drive letter

when you open up the sd card in the computer do you see all the files in the root or do you click on a folder then see all the files?
Sorry jfish i was being thick, thank you I understand what you mean now.
Dell when I open up the sd card i see 4 folders and 1 file: 000000001, wad, apps, private, and boot.dol, is this correct?
I have just formatted the card and added the files again and woohoo my wii can see it, im just waiting for zelda to load, so fingers crossed but i may be back for your advice if things go wrong. Thank you so much for you advice, watch this space
