Because your game saves are stored on a fat 32 partition

Cheers all will hit the thanks button when I get up and on the lappy.

My HDD will need reformatting so will I format it as FAT32 like the sd card?

Also do I just copy the .img files onto the HDD or do I need to do something to them first?

So where are you getting these img files from all mine are iso? I always use WBFS Manager its quick and simple but it formats the drive to WBFS which works with any USB Loader.

I've formated my HDD with WBFS manager and copied two .iso's over.

put some loaders on the usb card to install, but when i go to homebrew channel its like my controller turns off, the 2 blue lights just flash so i'm not able to select anything to install?

i can see the files i've put on but just cant move the cursor to select them?

Well if you say your using a WBFS drive then you won't see any files on that drive with Windows and Windows doesn't recognise the drive and asks if you want to format it. Now the trick is plugin and power up your HDD before you turn on your Wii and it MUST be plugged in the USB connector nearest the edge of the Wii else it won't work.

Now I can't remember with USB Loader you are using without searching but each loader has its own folder on the SD card for settings and game pictures if those aren't they it won't work.

You don't need to use Homebrew to use the USB Loaders I have my 3, USB Loader GX, Configuarable USB Loader and WiiFlow as channels in the Wii menu.

I though you said you were using img files?

have you done the whole hack or just installed the homebrew channel?
if you have only installed the hb channel then follow this tut for the full hack http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-3-mod-157379/

As CK says it sounds like you've only installed Homebrew and nothing else.

When you say the remote doesn't work I'm assuming you mean the Wii remote, change the batteries?

For homebrew to work you need apps on your SD card else if no SD card is inserted homebrew will show a blank screen with the bubbles on it. Press button 1 and you will be asked for a device to show these apps SD, USB, SDGeko Slot A or SDGeko Slot B?

As far as I understand LetterBomb it just installs HomeBrew Channel (HBC) without using an original game to do this. Its upto you to add all the other gizmos you want.

Now what you need on the SD card is Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 that will install any WAD file you tell it to. I've said this before if you search but I use 3 USB Loaders, USB Loader GX. Configurable USB Loader and WiiFlow. Now each one of these needs the same cIOS249 installing to work. If you try and run them without you will get the message needs cIOS222, cIOS249 or cIOS250. You search on here for cIOS249 and Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 or Google it.

As I've said each USB Loader needs its own folder on the SD to operate, save setting, store game pictures etc these must be there else they won't work. Now use 3 USB Loaders mainly because each one has different layouts and features. Once the get these loaders working you can add the WAD that will put that channel on the Wii menu. This saves alot of time opening HBC then opening the Loader.

Which items are you selecting of the SD card that the screen goes black?

That will do for now, see how you go and report back?

krazylegz you have only installed the homebrew channel for the full hack follow this tut http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-3-mod-157379/ from after homebrew channel install, this will give you all the required cios's and give you usb loader gx for playing your backups from hdd.
