Well my friend has come up for the weekend and I've asked her to bring her Wii console with her. I will try again to install IOS36 again which most forums say I need for USB Loaders. I will try it again tomorrow and see how we get on. I've made a new IOS36-64-v3608.wad with NUS which I've had for a while.

I will report back any success.

Ok I ran my friends the Wii console and setup the Internet to my Router. I ran MultiMod Manager 13.4 and installed

      IOS36-64-3608.wad
      IOS58-64-6176.wad
      cIOS249[38]-v17.wad

      all installed ok.

I exited HBC and ran USB Loader GX from the SD card and it ran showing all the games on my drive. I ran Configurable USB Loader and it showed all games on my drive. I ran WiiFlow of the SD card and it showed all games on my drive. I installed Priiloader and that worked. I blocked Online updates and disc updates and the Wii 'A' prompt.

I went back and MultiMod Manager 13.4 and installed USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad, USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v8b Alternative.wad and Wiiflow Forwarder Channel.wad to put the channels on the Wii menu which it did. Everything now works as it should do.

I uninstalled my Router and it showed and ran all 3 USB Loaders and they all worked.

I did exactly the same as I did before now everything works all 3 USB Loaders.

      The stupid thing works now.

The only reason I can think that it didn't work the first time is that there must have been an error on one of the wad installations and you missed the error message during all the text that flies down the screen. But as long as it works now all is good.

Well as I said I installed the same wads as last time but this time it worked. MMM doesn't show an error message it just shows it worked or it didn't.

Why would you want to downgrade?

You can it downgrade wii 4.3e to 4.2e but I'm at work at the moment so all game sites are blocked so I can't read the procedure, I will try again tonight?

No when I've softmodded two Wii's previously and they worked perfectly without using ModMii.

This one worked perfectly after she brought it back for a second attempt and the exact same wads and file were used.

Modmii is definitely the easiest method

Ok my friend has brought up another neighbours 4.3E Wii to softmod. I tried to setup the internet connection to my router but it was asking for the parental lock PIN number. I tried to phone my friend to find the number but her phone was switched off. I Googled how to reset the parental lock PIN number and there are a few videos on YouTube showing you how.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQX9Zw34rsg"]How To Reset Wii Parental Controls - YouTube[/ame]

Then you type the number shown into Wii Parental Control Password Resetter then type that number produced back into the Wii and that disables the parental lock.

Ok I was going to use LetterBomb again so I typed in the MAC address for a 4.3E Wii and I downloaded Letterbomb.zip to add the new HBC v1.1.0 to a 2GB SD card. I instered the SD card and clicked on Wii messages to find the red envelope but it wasn't there. I powered of and restarted and it still wasn't there.

I decided to use the old method because I have the original LEGO Indiana Jones The Original Adventures disc. I added the indiana-pwns saved game to the Wii and ran the game loaded the saved game then it softmodded ok. Now there appears to be a slight difference between v1.0.8 and v.1.1.0. On 1.0.8 it shows the 3 options.

                                1. Install HBC
                                2. Install BootMii in IOS
                                3. Prepare SD card

                                On 1.1.0 it shows

                                1. Install HBC
                                2. Install BootMii in IOS

You have to install BootMii then you see the option to Prepare SD card.

Anyway it was softmodded and I did a NAND backup straight off. All I had to do was install all the wads needed for the USB Loaders. I used the d2x v8.0 final but none of them would install, I tried half a dozen time but they wouldn't go in. I did a syscheck and used that in ModMii to see what needed updating. That made 2 extra apps IOS236-v5-Mod and SIP.

I will tell you tomorrow what those install and if they work because I aren't starting the Wii backup at 1:30 in the morning.

Now a similar this happened with the Wii that this thread was made for it wouldn't install the wads so I said bring it back up the next time you come and I will try again. I tried it the next time and the exact same wads installed first time, its very strange you have to leave it a few days.
