    Wii 4.3E , how do i mod it without a game ?

i've managed to do the letterbomb and install homebrew channel but thats as far as i got. I had a shifty round kaos but they seem to be guides using the indiana disc .
Im now confused as there's that many folk on you tube tell me this that and the other that i dont know who to believe..
i just want a good clear guide without squinting at the monitor and some external links to the software.

oh forgot , why do all the ~~~~in yanks slur and sound pissed ??.

Ok so you've softmodded your 4.3E with LetterBomb now all you need to do is find Multi Mod Manager (MMM) because Wad Manager 1.5 & 1.7 don't work for me to install additional wads that are need so you can use the USB Loaders. You also need to install PriiLoader 0.7 and set it to block online and disc updates because this is the only way you can access BootMii if you do get bricked by pressing the Reset key.

There are tutorials on setting up the USB Loaders on here.

ive downloaded the USB loader 1_0 and cIOS rev9 , and put the 2 folders aptly named in my apps folder on the SD card.
i fired up the Wii , hit the "homebrew channel" and all's i see is a tab called "homebrew browser browse homebrew apps" and nothing else.
if i hit this i get the DOS screen type page and it loads homebrew channel 0.38 were i can download stuff from.

were do i launch the loader and cIOS rev9 from ? i cant find them.
i think summuts gone wrong along the line for me.

oh forgot to say , i can download apps utilities etc... from the homebrew channel store so to speak and they show up on the first screen when i start up the homebrew channel but if i copy the .dol in its folder to the sd card in the apps folder it doesnt show to install from the homegrew first page..

        am i missing summut ?.

Well I haven't used USB loader 1.0 I only use USB Loader GX, CFG USB Loader and WiiFlow so if you put USB loader in the apps folder on the SD card and only homebrew browser is show then something has gotten renamed.

          How to install cIOS rev9?

You need WAD Manager 1.5 or 1.7 but they don't work for me so I use Multi Mod Manager (MMM) 13.4. You should have a wad folder on the SD card you can add all you wad files into there. When you run MMM you select IOS installer/manager and the will list all wads in the wad folder. You just press 'A' to unstall all wads or select the wads you want to install using the + key then press 'A'. You will see which ones were successful as they install. If some didn't install go back and try them again until they do install.

Basically all the 3 USB Loaders I use only need one wad installing to make them run cIOS249[38]-v17.wad.

While you are in homebrew browser you can download syscheck once downloaded it puts the file into syscheck folder in the apps folder when run that will show all IOS's that are installed in your system. This also creates a sysCheck.csv file in the root of the SD card, you can open it and copy and paste the contents into here so we can see what is missing.

Oh I forgot to ask which Wii system number are you using?

Well this is your first post in this section but I'm assuming you haven't done a search for installing USB Loader GX as there are quite a few threads on this?

First of what is your Wii version number?

You say you have softmodded your Wii and you have done a NAND backup so thats the first job done.

Now to get any USB Loader to work you need to install ALL the wads in d2x v7.0 Final with Multi-Mod Manager 13.4

Now just to make sure you have all the correct wads installed post a sysCheck as explained in that link.

You really need PriiLoader 0.7 installed try it again. In the sysCheck make sure you have IOS36 installed if you don't then download it from here.

Thats what happens when I use the WAD Managers thats why I suggest you use Multi-Mod Manager 13.4

I'm actually softmodding another Wii today my friend has bought up from Birmingham. When I tried to connect WiFi through my router its asking for a Parental Lock PIN number which I don't have. I Googled for this and there are videos on YouTude showing how to reset the Parental Lock and its worked the Parental Lock is now disabled so I can carry on using LetterBomb.

Do exactly what CK says make sure each sub folder in apps as a different boot.dol, icon.png and meta.xml file in it.

Make sure the apps folder is named apps not APPS else it won't see anything.

                              So what cured the problem?

You may as well install the USB Loader GX Forwarder Channel rather than clicking on Homebrew everytime.

Well there are various ways to gets games onto a USB stick or HDD. The problem with USB sticks is they aren't very big. The price of buying a 128GB stick you may as well buy a 128GB external hard drive. I always use WBFS Manager but that will only add iso files to a drive. If you want to convert the wbfs to iso you can use Wii backup manager 0.4.0 build 65 or I use WiiGameConverter_GXS not the simple edition.

With the USB stick it must be 4GB to get 1 game on it with WBFS Manager. Once the wbfs file is converted to iso it will be 4.6GB but WBFS Manager compresses it. Open WBFS Manager and find the drive letter of the USB stick then click on the Format button. Click on Browse and find the iso file the just click Add to Drive job done.
