i have ModMii 4.3.4 on sd got a list of stuff to get. where do i get homebrew chan??
plus do i just download programs i need then sent to sd then run thru them on wii to softmod it. got games on hdd but struggling with how to chip wii. sd crd in pc ready to go as formatted it to fat32

You don't say which Wii system version your using.

When you run Modmii.exe from Windows it should check as your using the latest version, if not it will ask if you want to download it, click Yes 6.0.3.

There is an option in Modmii for a fresh install but I'm not sure how this enables you to softmod without an original game disc though if you using 4.3 it could use LetterBomb.

Modmii saves all file need in the COPY_TO_SD sub folder. Just add these to the SD card in the correct folders else it won't work.

If its 4.3 then you can use LetterBomb straight off that will only softmod it.

Now you must softmod it using all 3 options shown.

1. Install Homebrew.
2. Install Bootmii in IOS.
3. Prepare SD card - this will make a [bootmii] folder on the SD card so you can do a NAND backup straight after softmodding.

Then you just have to install PriiLoader 0.7 to block online and disc updates.

Then you just decided which USB Loader you want to use and search for those threads. You may as well try all 3 to find which you like the best. I would recommend USB Loader GX and install a forwarder channel to the Wii menu.

Leave the SD card formatted FAT32 at all times. You don't have to keep on formatting it everytime just delete all files and folders. Oh it must be a 2GB SD card not SDHC while your softmodding.

my card is a micro sd 2gb. but every time i send stuff it says the card i have used can not be used ?????????

Get yourself a Sandisk 2GB SD Card they aren't going to break the bank at ?4.

windows 7 home pre

it is a micro sd card and a sandisk microsd/transflash adapter.

its brand new i also hav a 4gb micro sdhc sandisc

I've never had any problem formatting an SD card with WinXP, Vista or Win7 or adding files.

Get rid of the transflash adapter thats something else to interfere.

You either take advise of here from people that know the pitfalls or you please yourself its up to you?

There is so such thing as a plain SD adaptor its just a full size SD card.

The wii does not like micro sd cards in an adaptor. Better off to get a 2gb sd card not sdhc

The adaptor allows you to use a micro card in the SD slot what I'm saying is get rid of the adaptor and fit a 2GB SD card directly this will cut out any interference in connection.

No its still a micro SD you want a full size SD as my link showed.

sandisk 2gb sd card the blue ones.
