Hi there
ive been given a Wii that has a hardware mod to allow playing backup disks. However I want to use the USB loader.
It has the HomeBrew channel on it and on the memory card there is a BootMii folder and that was it. I loaded the Usb loader software on it and tried to run it via Homebrew channel but it complained it needed a number of IOS's eg 222.
Thats the problem with been given a Wii that someone else has had a play with.
What is the easiest way of finding out what state its in? Im not sure how much its been modded at all.
I know its a UK 4.2 Wii and has the Homebrew channel installed and thats it..
I have seen some tutorials for completely softmodding including installing the Homebrew channel and I was hoping I could just follow the instructions for one of these (from after the point of installing HomeBrew)
Is it possible installing any of the cIOS's might interfere with the hardware mod or vice versa.
And any ideas how I can find out what hardware mod it has? Apart from opening the Wii? Perhaps some combination of buttons on startup that will bring me to a configuration page... ?
andy ideas would be appreciated.
cheers
