Wii Softmod 4.2u USBLoader not working

    Hi guys,

This is my first post on this forum, or any forum for that matter. I just can't figure this one out. I had a guy mod my wii for me a while back, my son uses it constantly. Now the USB Loader will not work. It says exception dsi error. Ive tried reading a million threads about it but still nothing. when i go in the homebrew channel it says IOS61 V21.29 and on top 1.0.5. I tried loading a new usbloader on and it says
USB loader GX needs unstubbed cIOS 222 v4 or 249 v9

Go get some cios action going and come back and see me.

    222 - 0
    249 - 0

I understand you might need more information and might have to have a lil patience with me, because im new to this, I feel i could mod a wii starting from new pretty easy now
thanks for your patience in advance.

Sorry in advance for my experience level. I downloaded MMM from that link you posted but i'm not sure how to install it after that, I put it all on my SD Card and went to Bootmi but black screen. Should i start everything over from scratch, if so, whats my best plan

It almost seems like everything i try to install freezes or black screen. Bad memory card maybe? I also tried anytile deleter to get rid of usbloader and put it back on but it gives a lot of errors.

You download Multi-Mod-Manager_v13.4.zip and extract the MMM folder into SD: apps\MMM folder then run it from Homebrew.

Select WAD Manager and that will default to the wad folder, find the wads you want to install. If you press 'A' it will install all wads in that folder. You can scroll down the wads and press the + button that will put a green tick by that wad select more wads and put a tick next to those then press 'A' to install all selected wads then wait for the message installed correctly after each one. If they don't install try them again.

After you have install some wads come back out to Homebrew then go along to sysCheck after you've added that to your SD card. Then you will see which wads are installed, post a report as instructed in that link.

You don't need an internet connection to use MMM because it installs the wads of the SD card. You could do with it if your going to use any of the USB Loaders so it can download the game pictures.

Do you have a router for your computer? Its easy enough to setup an internet connection just into Wii Settings Internet and let it search for available WiFi connections when it finds your router just type in the security password then it will check if the connection is good, job done.

Its a very long process but you could download your own pictures if you know the game ID or name. Wii Boxart

I have internet but no wifi connector for my wii, I would buy one if it was needed to fix it but if not i wont bother. Just wanna get it back up and running. Not even sure why it stopped working, ive never hooked it to the internet before since modded. then my son took it to his sitters and came back with it not working, when i first tried it, it said exception DSI error i searched alot on it but didn't get a fix. So i thought i would try this route

now syscheck is freezing and acting weird, it's not letting me select IOS anymore, eventually it just runs , looks like it runs all, then says success, do you want to display the report, but i can't do anything. I wont do anything else until i hear from someone on here

When you run sysCheck you just press 'A' to scan for all wads not individual ones.

From the bit you've posted its an old Wii that probably been updated to 4.2U some time because Homebrew is running on IOS61 mine is on IOS58. It can't find the Drive date either which is strange.

I assume you don't have Priiloader installed?

Are you sure this Wii hasn't been chipped?

It says 13 of them are stub its the IOS's on stub that you have to fix.

My sysCheck I'm running a newer version of Homebrew:

                            sysCheck v2.1.0b18 by Double_A and R2-D2199

Try and run another full sysCheck.

If push comes to shove you could update your Wii to 4.3U and softmod it again, but you will need a web connection to do this.

I'm surprise that HH hasn't made a comment in here yet as he is the Wii expert.

Ok. When i get home I will run the full syscheck again if i can. It seemed to be acting weird the second time tho. The first time i could pick between IOS and choose one to run a scan on, the 2nd time i could do anything and it just started scanning all of them, and then when it finished successfully it just sat there. Did not let me press A to view it all. But i will give it another try when i get home. I'm almost positive it's never been on the internet since it was originally modded.
