how to play copied games on wii

Hi to all and im reading what appears to be the same confusion ive been reading all day concerning Playing wii backup games.
ok 1st ive modded my Wii using the apps pack 1-3 and i believe ive followed the directions to the letter.
What I seem to have trouble with is in whether or not Burned games can be played on my Wii.
Ive read forums and tutorials explaining that the code in the game needs to be patched via isopatcher to 249 ,only this program doesnt seem to exist anymore.
So in saying this does the game need to be patched(Super Mario Galaxy 2) or am i simply missing something and if so where to get it...Any and all Help is appreciated.
oh and if ive missed a step in anything feel free to ask..thanks Eq

there is no need to patch smg2
you need to use good quality dvd-rs like verbatim burnt at a slow speed with imgburn, but you need to understand that if your wii is new or brought within about the last year then the chance is that it will not be able to play dvd-r back ups due to the chip set.
most of your backups will play from neogamma channel (not the normal channel) but you can also use uloader http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...taller-143444/ then you can boot the backups with different cios's

Thats sound about right considering you've posted in a how to play copied games on wii thread there are different softmod tutorials on here depending on your Wii version.

You don't say which Wii version you're using? If your not using 4.3 then you may as well update it to 4.3 online then you can softmod it with LetterBomb if you want to read here.

LetterBomb will ONLY softmod if you want to use an external HDD then there are plenty of tutorials on here.

Hi all, I Am new here so I apologise now if i ask any silly questions.. I recently got a Wii (brand new blue edition for Mario/sonic at the Olympics) I have been looking on several internet sites about how to play copied games and it all seems quite complicated compared to my R4 on NDS. The only thing I'm worried about is breaking my Wii and it not being covered by the guarantee. Are the changes made on the wii to play copied discs/games reversible and if so is it easy to reverse? I was going to use my external hard drive to play them from. Is this the safest way? Also is there a step by step guide for dummy's that shows the whole process in simple terms?

Welcome to the forum.

Well as you softmod your Wii you need to make a NAND backup its part of the softmod procedure. This is supposed to record everything how the Wii was set before you softmodded. If it has to goo back under warranty you would restore the original NAND and hope they don't notice.

Hi friends & administrators. Actually, I have softmoded my Wii 4.3 E Black. Am still in quest to know how to play burn dvd's - though it has been clear to me Black Wii don't support due to a chip etc...

By the way, I am still wondering how to Hack or any commendable software to break this wall of protection - preventing disc to load with error always showing be it on Neo Gamma R8/ ULoader etc...Always error in reading disc.

I am requesting for help on that issue, much grateful & thanks in advance.

there is no software for cracking the protection and i doubt i anybody is working on it everything is going down the usb route sp[ash the cash and get a hdd

Can you post a syscheck so that I can see what you have installed then we can take it from there to get you up and running. I know you have tried many different solutions so now it is time to let me see what you have been left with and we can build on it
