v4.2e softmod

Hi guys, trying to softmod a v4.2e and i cant even get it to read the sd card. Any ideas. Grateful for help. I have the wii softmodding for dummies package.

Format the card first.

This does it all for you, Click the install batch file and type the location of your sd card on the pc and this will set the card up ready to go.

tried that and it doesnt work. i cant get the sd card to boot, tried a few and its not the cards. not sure if 4.2 is designed to not access them

You definitely using the correct version for the 4.2?

yer and it still wont boot from sd card, have tried other 42 but you have to load via homebrew and i want a wii channel usb loader instead

im having the nothing but trouble with a wii that has never been softmoded, updated to 4.2e but it hangs just after the boot from SD, its on the screen where i choose what IOS i want to use, nothing happens, tried various different packages that suppose to work, will try the one posted above, but i needed to post first, i will give my results once i have tried this one. thx guys u rock!

let's see if I understood well.

So place all the files on SD card and boot on it.

If I remove/format the SD card the Wii will still be as just opened from the box ?

tried this version when it asks where sd card located in pc i put in the letter then pc says copying files but noting gets copied

if i drag files on or from this software or one of the other software mods just get question mark in sd of wii section

Daz you still at this m8, you've been at this for months m8,

no m8 i was doing my uncles but was using newee software, when i tried uncles out found software was better (new stuff)
so swapped mine over, then when playing on mine discovered ghostbustes had blue screen so when i tried to sort it out somehow totally mesed mine up and system updated itself ,
that stopped me using the newer firmware.

but looks like its sorted now until i add somthing but mess up again
