what loader are you using? and what error are they giving ie black screen/green screen?

I am going to make a backup of my wii and would like to know if my backup will do for my mates wii.He has a 4.2 e the same as mine.Or dose each wii have to have its own backup.

I thought the wii 4.2 couldn't be softmodded. I am so confused. I am new to this and don't want to do it myself. I am scared I will screw up my system. I wish there was someone close to my area that did this. Can a wii 4.2 with the model number number begining LU666 be soft modded? Thanks so much

If your worried try this, it'll generate a guide for you to follow, read it and see if your up to it. If not, post the area where you are, some one will pm you I'm sure. All Wii's can be modded.

EDIT : Now that I have posted and can download I realise that I must be becoming dimmer and dimmer with my old age. I had a 3.2E Wii. I did a safe update to 4.2E. That lost me my Homebrew channel which I managed to get back. Now when I download the pack from this guide (complete4_2.zip), put it on an SD card and fire up the Homebrew channel there is no 'multi mod manager' so I can't get started. Help! I just have uLoader, AnyTtile Deleter MOD, DVD Dumper, GP Dop-IOS MOD, Trucha bug restorer and WAD Manager 1.5. How do i get MMM? this has probably been answered before but there are loads of posts to go through. I'll start looking in the meantime!

Softmod new Wii version 4.3e

Hi all.

new to this forum.
I have chipped my own Wii 4.2 no problems.
I am chipping my nieces but hers is a 4.3e version and nothing is working, you site is the first one that has detailed 4.3e that i have seen so i am keen to try it once i am allowed to download....

what loader are you using and what version of ios249 are you using?

Wii 4.3e previously soft modded HELP please

Hi All, new to the site but from what i have read you guys know what your talking about.

I have a wii that was previously modded but stupidly it has been updated to 4.3e.

I have downloaded a couple of files but with no joy, i read a post that said I could upgrade mod without using indy method due to already having a previous mod.

I only have homebrew channel on the system now as a earlier post i tried told me to delete all backup loaders etc.

So guys can I mod my 4.3e in this state and whats the easiest way.

Not sure if im putting things onto sd incorrectly but when i try to use progs through homebrew the wii remote shuts down and i have no control and end up restarting.

Hopefully somebody can help
