Hi guys
I had my wii chipped back in Dec 2007, with a Dc2 chip. It worked great, last year it started playing up and me not knowing much about these things I managed to install homebrew with the help of the net.
Unfortunately I managed to update my system playing a game. It is now on 4.2e, I have followed the guides and reinstalled homebrew, MMM, patched ios36, run title deleter and have tried uloader, but most of my copied disks will not play, saying the disks can not be read.
Is there something I have overlooked? Does it make sense to continue with a soft-mod or should I be looking at a way to flash the existing chip.
Sorry for the noobish questions, I just want to be able to play my games again,
Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any replies

The only correlation I can see between all the games no longer working are they are all white topped dvd's with a pale dye, all my silver tevion disks are working, and the majority of the other white topped disks are working, so later today I will copy a non-playing white disk and reburn to rule out the actual disks.
