      4.3e Unable to install Priiloader

      Hi there,

Just bought my first Wii on Friday, replaced the disc drive and installed the WODE Jukebox then use the Indiana Hack to install Homebrew. I am currently unable to install Priiloader (I get a cIOS036 cIOS036 isn't ES_Identify patched error -1017 when I try), so I am hoping that by following this tutorial I can fix the issue.

My sysCheck results are as follows:

      Thanks in advance,

Worked a treat, thank you I now have Priiloader installed (upgraded to v0.7 of course). Only thing I need to figure out now is how to restore my Bootmii?

      Cheers,

      Kal

You generally only restore the NAND from BootMii if you have bricked your Wii do you have a problem?

To operate PriiLoader you just press the Reset button and that will show a menu with BootMii select that. You then click the Power, Power, Power, Reset on the next screen Reset again to save your NAND to the SD card or Power then Reset to restore your NAND.

Now saving your NAND is the first job you do after installing Homebrew and BootMii in the IOS. You should have selected Prepare SD card that will put the [BootMii] folder on the SD card. If BootMii can't see this folder it won't work.

          Hi Keith,

          Thanks for the prompt response!

My original problem was that the initial tutorial I used (WWW.WODEJUKEBOX.ORG • View topic - WodeFlow 4.3 Video install guide), didn't mention anything about BootMii, so although it was installed as an IOS I hadn't setup the SD.

The only problem I had after using this tutorial was that if I selected BootMii I got MMM instead, I fixed that by copying a backup of my BootMii folder to my SD and am now I'm all sorted.

Thank you so much, great tutorial and much appreciated followup comments!

          Regards,

          Kal

Not really a quick format will do or just delete all files and folders?

As you installed HBC you had 3 options

                      1. Install Homebrew
                      2. Install BootMii in IOS
                      3. Prepare SD card which puts the [bootmii] folder with a few files on the SD card else when you choose BootMii from Homebrew it will do nothing.

You have the instructions how to navigate the BootMii icons.

POWER, POWER, POWER & then hit RESET then on the next screen press RESET again to backup your NAND to the SD card.

After its backed up to the SD card remove the SD card from the Wii and put it in your computer and copy the [bootmii] folder and keys.bin and nand.bin of the cards root into a safe folder as if these get deleted of the SD card for some reason you are stuffed for restorng it back into the Wii. Backup your NAND before you install anything else?

Now that you have installed Homebrew the next job is to install PriiLoader 0.7 as this will block any updates that Nintendo send out along with any updates of discs you may use. You can do a few more tweaks with PriiLoader as well.

The next job will be to install USB Loaders there are 5 to choose from I think, there are examples on here so you can play downloaded games of an external HDD.

                        Keith

Thanks a lot for a quick response. However, the problem is not resolved. I prepared sd card but When for backing up NANDS I click on "launch bootmii" after pressing home from the homebrew channel, the screen disappears (turns blank) and it doesn't show "4th icon across (settings, picture of two cogs)"

With blank screen I pressed power, power, power from wii console and then reset which restarts the console and take me to the main wii screen and doesn't show green icon to back up sd card.

I have checked sd card on my laptop and it has bootmii folder with 3 files in it so can't understand what is wrong here.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Well that is strange as it appears you have followed the correct procedure and sequence. There should be armboot.bin, bootmii.ini and ppcboot.elf in the [bootmii] folder.

                            This guide should fix:
Hackmii- No Vulnerable Ios Found- suck it
                            Hackmii- Black Screen

You will probably have to join this forum before you can download anything or read Spoilers.
