Brilliant set of instructions...worked first time.
Only problem is the link to the 4.3 files but if you just GOOGLE search it there is load to download.

4.3e upgrade

Howdy, I followed instructions and it worked a treat - my wii was using software 4.3e - am I right in thinking if my brother upgrades his wii this is the software update he will receive and I'll then be able to do the indiana jones hack on his machine.

First thanks for all the good advise u lot hand out. I hope someone can help me here, their is a section which says copy from your ad card nands.bin, keys.bin and the folder, well I don't see the folder on the ad card, is this normal or am I in trouble when or if I un mod my wii.

if you followed this tut correctly then you should have nand.bin file and keys.bin file on the root of your sd card if you do then backup these to your pc if you dont the follow this

Backing up your Nand (Important)

You will now need to do a Nand backup

From the main Wii Menu screen, load HomeBrew Channel, press -HOME- on your Wii remote & select Launch Bootmii

Using your Wii Console to the control the selection, you need select the 4th icon across (settings, picture of two cogs) To move across to this press, POWER, POWER, POWER & then hit RESET.

You will then need to select the Backup button which is the first icon (Green arrow pointing at a SD card)To do this, press RESET.

Your Nands will now begin to back up. This process usually takes about 13-15 minutes. Once complete it will then verify the backup (I recommend allowing it to do this, only takes a few more minutes). You may get some bad sectors found, but dont worry about this. Once complete hit any button & you will return to the Settings screen.

Remove your SD Card & pop it back into your card reader attached to your PC/Laptop.

IMPORTANT
Take a copy of the following from the SD card: nand.bin (file) bootmii (folder) keys.bin (file)


if your wii keeps booting to bootmii when you start it then you also need to backup the bootmii folder to your pc and remove the bootmii folder from the sd card or rename it to bootmiiold or anything you want, then the wii will boot normally if you ever need to boot to bootmii in the future then rename back to bootmii or put the folder back on the sd card

So many months any new guide withoutgame to softmode virgin wii who updated 4.2 to 4.3E didnt know wii cant hacked..

or any other game who can do it like mario cart or wall-e or sonic unleashed or sports or de blob, that only i got..

or can i downgrade to 4.2 again and softmode it? and how i downgrade.. plz help im waiting a lot months.. need something with out lego games..

Sd Card fat32, 4G

Here is manonamissionblue's tut, with pictures. Used it yesterday, and its awesome!!

In this turorial, it doesn't mention anything about 4G sd card formatted with fat32? Cant i take my 4G sd card for this?

2g sd is best there can be issues with 4g sdhc

but I've learned from these posts, amongst other things, to finish that first Indy level. Now I've to dl those files and my wiirizons.

i guys i am a complete newbie, unfortunately my kids updated the inlaws wii that was softmod now it doesnt play the usb games, i have stuffed around on here for hours and managed to get the HBC back but when i tried to run the usb loader it said i needed CIOS 222 or 249 i had both in the apps section and tried to run from the HBC but both of them just seem to "hang" any suggestions? I didnt do a back up of the Nand thought think i may have missed something?

ok i managed to get the usb loader to work and the games play, however all the pictures of the games on the hard disk do not show up, can anyone give me a suggestion on how to get these back?
