How come we can't use our own bootmii folder?

I haven't installed all 19 wads yet I'm still trying to get my head around all the procedures and why they are needed.

How come we have to have priiloader loading on bootup I just want to see the Wii desktop when it starts up?

If priiloader is run from inside the apps and all the options have been setup why does it have to run when the Wii boots up doesn't it save the changes to the Wii?

When USB Loader GX is run does that put its own link on the Wii desktop?

Why does this SD card have to stop in the Wii all the time, can't we add additional apps in the app folder? What happens if we forget to put the SD card in will the Wii be unusable or even get bricked?
you can use any bootmii folder if it is the same region as yours.
you dont need to boot to priiloader read here what the hacks can do Digital Kaos - Downloads - priiloader v0.7
gx is a full channel so yes it will be on main screen
all the wads need to be installed
you dont have to keep the sd card in all the time if everthing is installed as a full channel
you can put as many apps in the apps folder as you like and leaving the sd card out wont brick your wii

So it will work like a normal Wii with the card out?

the priiloader in the 4.3 mod is 0.6 which needs the hack file in the root of your sd card, the link i gave you is 0.7 which requires the hack file in the priiloader folder i only gave you the link to explain what the hacks do.

the wii should still play backups from disc without the sd card in but not from hdd as gx is not installed as a full channel only as a forwarder from the main screen to the apps folder.

are you worried about leaving the sd card in all the time?

Ok I'm trying to install the wads.

Now you need to install your WADS.
From the main Wii Menu screen, load HomeBrew Channel; press -HOME- on your Wii remote & select Launch Bootmii

Multi-Mod Manager will Starts (via cboot2)
That part doesn't make sense? Pressing HOME from HBC brings up the Launch BootMii option but that doesn't install any wad.

          "Press any button to continue"
VERY IMPORTANT Be sure all the WADS install
If the WADS fail to install, install them 1 at a time.
I have Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 in the HBC options. When I run that and select WAD Manager and pressed (1) to install all wads it goes through all 19 but a message says

19 USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad did not complete.

I went back to the menu and selected 19 on its own then pressed (A) to continue and (A) to install but I get a similar message

          Installing 1/1: USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad - Ticket (-2011)

[#] Final Status - 1 did not complete.

Back to HBC and remove the card and back into the PC copied USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad back to the wad folder. Back to WAD Manager installed USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad again and I keep getting the same message.

I downloaded 4.3 hack files.rar again and extracted USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad to the wad folder and tried it again, same error

[#] Final Status - 1 did not complete.

          Any ideas?

the gx wad is just a short cut so you dont have to access gx from the hbc
if you really want this then go here usbloader-gui - USB Loader GX: GUI for Waninkoko?s USB Loader (based on libwiigui) - Google Project Hosting and try installing a different forwarder wad

I want a short cut on the Wii desktop for USB Loader GX rather than loading HBC every time.

Now this is getting confusing to an idiot like me?
So will any of those downloads of that page do the same job?

              I've downloaded USB Loader - UJJB, USB-Loader_v1, USBLoaderGX2.0_AllinOnePackage, USBLoaderGX_1.0_Installer a long time ago.

The thing is if you install a different wad then your not supposed to uninstall it later if it doesn't work are you?

i dont have gx installed i have cfg and uloader.
when it comes to forwarder wads you can install and uninstall without any problems so you can download a wad from the link and if it dont work uninstall it and try another.
you can also configure priiloader to boot to gx instead of main menu.

Thanks for your help CK on this but I really want to install USB Loader GX else there isn't much point in having HBC on there, is there?

I shall have to PM Stanny2k as I've followed his instructions to the letter but it won't install USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad from WAD Manager.

So they still use 4.3 on the newer ones?

So you haven't tried Stanny2k's procedure yet, I'm wonder how you get on with installing the USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad?

stanny2k's thread is just a rewrite of my original post http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-3-mod-157379/ have you tried a different forwarder?
if your still struggling try patching ios36 with mmm then retry installing the forwarder.

Yes I've read both thread and they are virtually the same. If you've both used the same procedure and all 19 wads installed without errors I'm still stuck as the last one USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad doesn't install.

I found another site a while ago that gives a detailed video of each section with a downloadable pdf Hack It Yourself!: EZ Wii Hacking but now that have a crap spam filter before you san see anything. If you do download the pdf the password to open it is piratesrule In the pdf you download MMM.rar and that has 43 wads to install. That shows a similar install procedure. I would upload it but its a bit big 894kb.

I did try to install another forwarder, USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad but that would install either.

There are loads of IOS36's with different version numbers, which one would you suggest?
