Wii 4.3E/U softmod - Using Indiana Jones - Original Adventures
I hope this works, as my daughter accidently updated our Wii with EA Sports Active 2.
EDIT. I've just finished the hack, and it worked great. I have to say that apart from the playing of Lego Indiana Jones (I'm crap at platformers) this was easier than when I soft-modded our Wii the first time. Many thanks.

Reason: Update on Soft Mod
Ok I've finally got USB Loader GX, Configurable USB Loader and Wiiflow to work. I searched YouTube for all videos on USB Loader GX 4.3 and downloaded them all. I put IOS236 Installer, Custom IOS Installer (rev 21) on the SD card. Now some videos aren't clear to see which ISO numbers to choose so I just used the default ones to install IOS249. I used Wad Manager 1.7 to setup USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad.
I went back to the Wii menu and USB Loader GX was there. I powered down the Wii and inserted the external USB drive which is formatted and loaded with WBFS into the USB socket near the edge. I have 6 downloaded games on it at the moment. Call of Duty: Black Ops, F1 2009, Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2010, Nascar 2011: The Game, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Wii Sports Resort. Call of Duty: Black Ops played ok well for 20 minutes. You read reports it crashes if you don't install another IOS just for that game?
Now they all play apart from Wii Sports Resort now I know you need the MotionPlus for that game but it doesn't get to any screen it just jumps back to the Wii menu. I downloaded all the game covers but it doesn't show the CD cover before you load the game, I shall have to read up some more. I hate Mario games so that can be deleted.
I tried to install Priiloader 0.7 and everything looked of as it checked and installed the different pieces but it just went back to the HBC menu and there is no loader on the Wii menu so I will have to investigate the settings?
Well I'm a lot happier with softmodding and getting the downloaded games to work.
Now don't get me wrong I don't mind buying a genuine game but if its crap then its a waste of money this way you get to test the game out for a while before you decide if its good enough to buy. I do the same with the PC games but when I buy a genuine PC game I still use the no DVD crack to run it this saves searching around for the CD/DVD.

for wii sports resort just select load alt.dol in the loader settings.
for priiloader it do's not have a main menu channel it is accessed by holding in the reset button while powering on the wii.
ios236 is ios36 installed in slot 236 which is what i was trying to tell you to install with multi mod manager.

I've looked in USB Loader GX setting - Loader but it doesn't mension alt.dol. I've search all my downloads and it isn't in there, where do I find this alt.dol?

Ok I got Priiloader to load. If you go into Settings it lists 13 of them with a Save settings at the bottom. I've tried pressing every key to cancel this but it won't, I powered it down. Now there are no instructions in the download which is very bad.
It appears you can add hacks.ini to the SD root I presume this holds the basic settings?
Update: I've found you have to press 'B' to get back to the Priiloader menu. Why it doesn't say that at the bottom beats me?
You have to have hacks_hash.ini in the apps\priiloader folder as well.

Hi will this mod work for playing back ups from a usb drive/ stick.
It will if you setup a USB Loader GX, Configurable USB Loader or Wiiflow then you can play burnt games of a USB external drive. If you want to play burnt DVD games then I believe you need NeoGamma according to CK-OK.
I'm on 4.3 but I'm not sure what Wii it is. How do I check? I'm asking because I don't know if I can do DVD playback, something you aren't able to do on the later released models if I've researched correctly.
I just got first wii with preloaded 4.3U. Do I really need ndiana Jones Original Adventures Wii Game (Original) ? I wanna play sport games. Where can i download play "try" sport games ?
I inserted the card into my computer and clicked format prior to copying the information over to the computer for storage
scrubbing what was on the SD card, I then installed
Modpack zip onto the blank SD Card and completed the proceedure
my question is this is it possible to do an nand back up with another sd card after completing the install or do you have to leave the main sd card in at all times,
would i have to reformat the wii back to factory settings and go through the whole process from the beginning

or better just to live with it as it is thanks
no problem just do another nand backup from were you are now as long as its working ok.
a factory reset will not erase your softmod or return your system menu to its previous version.
yes you need the sd card in all the time unless you install all your loaders as full channels which means everthing is copied to the wii memory which can take up some considerable space.

how do you do a back up to the SD card , can you do this even if you have fully installed the bits as per the instructions
? wont a nand back up corrupt the sd card or is it ok to do one once you have finished installing everything
