SD CARD PROBLEM....HELP NEEDED!!

OK..............

just got a new Sony class 4 2gb sd card.

ive tried formatting to fat, and also fat32.

ive tried the standard windows formatter, and also the formatter from this site.

i'm still getting "The device inserted in the SD Card slot cannot be used"

so now i am well and truly puzzled.... and yes the new sony card works fine in my 4.2 console.

any other suggestions please??? (except "throw your wii in the bin" !!!)

try powering off at the wall insert sd card then power back on

try giving the slot a good clean with a cotton bud or something simlar might have some dusty connections

just gave it a good clean, and sprayed in with a can of air.... still the same.............. i'm slowly losing the will to live

is it a old or new wii?
if its new take it back to shop
if its old take it apart and check connections

it's about 18 months old, so i guess will still be under warranty....... will have to take it back.... it has to be a fault with the reader, don't see what else it can be.... although it has barely been used, and the card reader has never been used.

i too am having this problem was working fine this morning and when went to use it my lad had put sd card in wrong way round and now getting sd card cannot be used. do you think he may off damaged something in the console it self
