USB Loader GX problem

Hello everyone my name is Brian and i'm new to all this great stuff about wii modding. I recently modded my wii cause i wanted to back up my games onto a hard drive so my kids would stop messing up the disc's. So i also did the downgrade on the Wii so the firmware is now 4.1U.

When i do the USB LOADER gx its booting from the SD card but what steps do i go about booting it from the Hard Drive. I have a partisioned to 20gig fat32 and the rest is WFBS. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Where do youmade a 20GB partition ?
The front area of the hard drive does not recognize it WBFS not formatted partition.

The HD is a 750gig usb 2.0/3.0 seagate. 20gigs is FAT32 and the rest is WBFS. What do I need to do to so that the Wii will boot from the HD and not the SD card???

When it reains it pours. Now my loader wont load the games??? You click on the channel, Click start, After start the whole Wii freezes. Anyone have any idea's???? Thanks for all your help.

The Wii was a 4.3u and after the mod I down graded to 4.1u Was that a bad idea????

downgrading to 4.1 is not really worth it unless you have a mod chip fitted.
what have you changed that could make it freeze?

CK-Ok The only thing that i can rememeber doing was uploading a couple games using WBFS manager 3.0 so i thought one of the games was bad. I did preocess of elimation and thought it was Tetris party and it all seemed to work fine. Now when ever you try a backup it freezes. I am using USB loader gx 2.0 but i updated that a while ago. Should I start over and just update back to 4.3U or would that be very stupid???? Your help and knowledge is Greatly appreciated Thank You.

have all your backups stopped working? try a few you know worked and ley us know.

Ck-Ok Yes all the backups have stopped working. Doesn't matter which one you pick the screen goes black and the music stops but the green light is still on the Wii so it Freezes.

What should I try?????

youv'e got the homebrew channel working already so i think your best bet would be to download the mod pack from here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-3-mod-157379/ and install all the wads in the wad folder,this should get you running again.
did you do a nand backup that you can reinstall?

Ck-Ok Ya i did a nand and keys backup. Should i just do the wads install first to see what happens??? Thanks for your help.

its totally up to you but you could try the wads first if nothing changes you can always reinstall your nand assuming you have priiloader installed or bootmii as boot2 if not install priiloader first before doing anything Preloader/Priiloader - WiiBrew

CK-OK I have both installed on the Wii. But one question as far as installing bootmii as boot2, can u tell me whats that is all about???? I installed boomii after installing homebrew and everyting installed but i see lots people talking about the bootmii as boot2.

Like Brian above in the 1st post modded my Wii to save disc from being scratched by my two boy's. My question is, why did my Wii stop reading the USB HDD through USB loader-GX. I also have the Wii updated to 4.3U. Can this be fixed without starting over?

CK-OK ok i went to the 4.3mod link and took the files from the one with homebrew already working link. When i checked the files there were not 19 files to install, only 2. So i took the full 4.3 hack files which had all 19 wad files in it and they all installed. Seem to fix the problem cause all works fine now. I also reinstalled priistaller as well. Anything you can think of that i need to redo???? I supposed if its fine don't touch it???
