Yeah if you get a replacement PCB wil be fine once you reflash it with your FW just ensure matches your original drive. Liteons are all the same if model numbers match

Take a photo of em mate before you go for it, so it will be easy to put em back on. Just take it slow and you will be fine.. heat up the solder and slowly pull the wire away.. reverse to get it back onComment

1) Make a note of your SATA port you used to read your drive keys (In this example I will use A900)
2) Create a clean bootable USB drive using http://www.abgx.net/tools/Makeboot.rar
3) Copy the DOS folder from the ixtreme_1.5 package onto the USB drive
4) Copy your Lite_CFW.bin into the DOS folder
5) Turn the power of the Lite-On drive off
6) Boot your USB drive to DOS
7) Turn the power to the Lite-On drive on
8) Type CD DOS
9) Type l-o-eras EC00 (replace EC00 with your SATA port address). You should see status FF80
10) TYpe l-o-eras EC00 (again replace EC00 with your SATA port address).
11) You should see status FF72. If not, repeat the command a few times.
12) Type DOSFLASH If you are prompted to resend MTK to Vendor, press No
13) Select the number that represents your SATA port (It should have a item under it called ?No Identify Possible?)
14) Press W. You may see a message saying ?Unknown flash chip?, Don?t worry this is normal
15) Type DOSFLASH If you are prompted to resent MTK to Vendor, press No
16) Select the number that represents your SATA port (It should have a item under it called ?No Identify Possible?)
17) Press W. You should be prompted to enter a filename
18) Type Lite_CFW.bin and press Enter
19) The drive should say ?Erasing?..? followed by ?Writing Bank 0?.1?.2?.?Comment

Thought i had done the job today, soldered the wires onto the pcb! well so i thought!
Flashed the drive first time, put in xbox and it just comes up with open tray/close tray...doesnt read anything!
So i am putting that down to the wires arent soldered on correctly, i had another go but think i took too much of the board foil off also
!
So think i need a new pcb again!
Oh the joys

If your not so good with the slodering you may be better of getting hold of a cheap drive. make sure the drives are the same ie benq-benq/ samsung-samsung/ liteon 16d2s are all the same nowThought i had done the job today, soldered the wires onto the pcb! well so i thought!

Drive stuck in vendor mode!
Sometimes when you flash a drive with Jungle Flasher during the flash process the PC can freeze up causing this drive to be stuck in vendor mode. In cases when this takes place the drive seems to be bricked, non detectable or responsive will not even eject tray. I have encountered this on a few different drives the fix is a P.I.T.A. and is done from a DOS prompt. You can research unbricking your Xbox 360 DVD drive from DOS prompt on Google. Remember Do this as last resort before obtaining replacement drive. I highly recommend you do extensive research and use reputable sources before you attempt this as a reminder the methods you will find some work for individuals and not for others so it's always a trial and error process. good luck and hope this helps.Comment
