l like the old school too l use iprep for sammys and benq . l find it faster as l have a spare pc just for that .. install iprep 6 and drag idef file into Resources and then 1.6 will load m8

saying that j/f works ok for me .. but only works well on xp for me

i have had the same problem with jungleflasher, i get to the write part then it freezes, so what i did was use dosflash to write, it only takes 2mins after you have read, erased etc with JF, of course it would be nice to go the whole way with JF, im using onboard sata so its not the via drivers, i'll just have to live with it or try the process right through with dosflash, if you need any info on what i did let me know, i flashed 2 benq's and a lite-on using this method

You need to remove the via drivers from your pc to stop the liteon freeze, google jungleflasher guide or pm me and ask nnicely and i will send it you.

I do prefer dos flash for liteons just get the 4 files needed from jungleflasher and make my CFW then use dosflash to erase and write.

i kinda go along the same lines, save the "Lite_CFW.bin" to folder then boot into dos and write, as i have said earlier jungleflasher just wont write for me using onboard sata

                      iprep

i prefer using iprep for flashng, get to work in DOS so you get rid or any problems you can get in windows.

Even prefer to do LiteOn drives via dos then in windows.

you can obtai nthe key from dos with iprep you know, then stop the process before you go on to erase and flash and they .key file will be saved on your flash drive. you get the key same way you do in windows, just use a probe or solder a few points. i personally just sodler, prefer it...old habbit. and as for a probe, you can just use a thin wire hookedup where the dearer probs would go.i have done that before.

DOS is fab and will also allow you to recover a so-called "bricked" lite-on drive where-as with windows, you are never quite sure of the outcome, I do however use JF just to obtain key/Ident etc for lite-on, Then copied to pen, BenQ and Sammys all done by Iprep. so quick and easy, and never likely to lockup as speaking raw to hardware.
