      Update.

Tonight i have flashed a samsung MS28, and 2 liteon drives.

1 liteon was flashed through DOS, after obtaining the 4 files through jungleflasher and creating the custom firmware.

Both the MS28 and the other liteon was flashed through jungleflasher, for the liteon i had to remove the drivers from the directory. Heres how to:

      Open device manger.
Under raid controllers disable the VIA 6421 card.
Then goto C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers and delete the viamraid.sys.
Go back to device manager, enable the card again.
      Reboot.
Go back to device manager, check its got a yellow ! over the icon.
Feel free to flash the drive, once you click on liteon erase, with the firmware already loaded the process is practically automated, apart from having to get the drive into vender mode. Just follow the prompts.

as i posted earlier in this thread, i have had to use jungleflasher right up to the "write" point then change to dosflash to finish the writing, for the life of me i've tried everything in my power to get JF to write but it keeps bombing out on me, using onboard sata and vista 32, so i've no idea whats the prob, anyway to my point, dont mind to much using JF to get the key or to read erase etc in benq, but i'd like to try using dosflash all the way. I have dosflash and dosflash typ. on my bootable usb, so the question is what else would i need on the usb drive to complete the process, i've read something about firmtool but not in great detail, any comments much appreciated

To write to what drive, all i do to recover my donar drive (ms28) is write to it thro dos flash as i would a liteon.

The Jungleflasher bomb out could be a number of things from things in the bios to just simply down to chipset. I would recommend spending ?10 on a via 6421 as i really have had no problems with it at all and flashed all drives through jungleflasher with it.
