How to flash a liteon via jungleflasher and dos

ive got into dos but it still wont see my drive all it says is NO ATAPI DEVICES PRESENT anybody know what i can do have i knackered the drive or can i get it working

The drive should be visible.

Reset the power on the drive and type dosflash again.

It should show up.

this method for key retrieval only works for 7 series liteon drives. Do not do this if your using a 8 or 9 series drive.

use the mra method for 8 series version 2 or 9 series drives.

Does this allow Liteon drives to be flashed without use of additional hardware???

7 series drives require probe
8v1 series dont need extra hardware
8v2 and 9 series need MRA hack

I was disappointed when I saw that I had a lite-on drive because I have heard that those are the hardest to flash or mod. I have also heard that they need hardware as well as software to flash. I would like some confirmation on this information. The hardware I am talking about is a soldiering iron. I hope this isn't true as I have never soldiered before and am hesitant to try it because I don't want to destroy my Xbox.

How do you know if you have v1 or v2. I thought it depended on the date. is that true? if so what date would be V1?
