lite on recovery

my computer froze when trying to flash a lite on and now im trying to recover the drive.i have the right software but when i try and use l-o-eras.exe the status doesnt change
FF00 it wont even let me eject the drive for some reason
im using a ck3 pro.hooked another drive upto it and it ejects fine.
any ideas any1 please

in jungle flasher use the benq part and send benq unlock , this recovers the locked out drive sometimes

it wont show the drive in jungleflasher so it just keeps saying device intro failed when i try to get it on
running the benq unlock just gives me an error msg
i hate lite ons

ive noticed now that jungleflashers not picking up any drive since i deleted my drivers to stop the freezin!

read it again m8 at the bottom of the page it tells u how to install port10 drive and how to uninstall via drivers to stop it freezing

Get urself a usb memory pen/flash stick.
Follow guide on creating on located here under liteon + DOS Flashing: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...updated-53951/

Once you have it created, with dosflash + l-o-eras.exe + your CFW (firmware). Boot from it with drive connected but powered off.

Once in dos and got the A:\ prompt you should do the following:

Type dosflash with drive powered off. This will list all devices attatched to the pc.
Type dosflash again hit return straight after you have powered the drive, you should get intro vendor failed, resend until drive responds y or n, hit y

This will put it into vendor mode.

You then have 3 options, e (erase) w (write) r (read)

Hit w then it will ask for file, type lite_cfw.bin, it will then proceed to re flash the drive.


I will be flashing a BENQ tonight and will do a guide on this matter, this will work for samsung, benqs also liteons. There is no way to recover a hitachi drive unless the firmware chip is desoldered and reprogrammed externally.

Type L-O-Eras.exe .... <the the sata port the drive is attached to (D400 on mines).

Then type dosflash enter the drive number.

The click W to write and it asks for file name..type Lite_CFW.bin which will be the firware you made in JF.

Will Erase then write and its all done.

The l-o-eras is actually the firmware protection removal on the drive. As to vendor mode issue you get failed writes if not in vendor mode

Never had any issues flashing a drive this way.

Does dosflash ask you to resend until drive responds on the correct port i/o?
