can't select portIO - jungleflasher 1.55b

hi hope someone can help
first, i have 2 version of J/F 1.55 and 166 due to the fact 1.66 would not work with hitachi drive so i used 1.55 works a treat and i used J/F 1.55 for most of all the drives that i have done in the past i'e benq and samsung's.
now couple of weeks ago i had to reformat my PC and i had to reinstall everything and now i'm having trouble with both versions.
the 1.55 i can't select the portio but some it's tick portio but it's in a really light colour(port IO and the blue dot which is gery now), it still send the hitachi47 in modeB, try to dump but get ram upload execute failed, in win api ask me to save then error pops up, "Drive key can not be found, f/w may be corrupt". i've never flashed with win api !!!!!!
now the 1.66 send mode b fine goto dump get ram upload execute failed??
hope someone got some idea's !!!
as i've try uninstalling driver restalls the drive's used other version still gettin the same ram upload execute failed..
i would be very very gratefully if someone can help..

i have try to reinstall but the same and i try 1.69 ver but when i go to start it up, it give a error " can't install portio32.sys" then it still open up, i got a feeling there something wrong with my PC. but i will look and read throught it, and i will get back to you. thanks

i'm using .net F/W 3.5 and vista home. but before i was using vista ultimate and it was working fine, but the copy of vista ultimate was a bit funny so i had to reformat pc.
i've got everything working normal in 1.55b now but when i go to dump it just keep give ram upload failed?
so now i'm going to try 1.69 and see if that will work!!!
does the 1.69 pick up hitachi ok?
i just double check by connecting a benq drive and that was fine it just seem to be hitachi's


just got back to the pc my little girl had hit the erase key with the benq drive on it and now jungleflasher say there's no drive but i still have the key for it how can i recover it?

If you have the key then the drive is recoverable in dos, see guides posted on here with dos flash.

The hitachi your best ensuring everything is correctly installed and re-reading the jf guide again, what chipset is it btw?

letter, this isnt possible with a VIA 6421 with Drivers Removed.
PortIO functionality was added for VIA 6421 Sata users who removed drivers to hack the Lite-
On drives without freezing issues.
To enable PortIO usage, check VIA Ports Only under DVDKey 32 tab.

i've already done that, that's why it's working but not with hitachi drive's as it did before without any problems and i don't understand why it's not doing it now!!!!

if jungle flasher says hitachi in mode b try this ..
had similar problem..
one in mode b use mouse and click open tray on jungle flasher not the executer tool.
then try dumping drive sounds stupid but works ..
sometimes its click open then click close but again use jungleflasher button on left hand side next to unlock 79 play option..

i don't use any kit,
it's been days and still getting the same error when dumping ram upload execute failed or ram poke failed,
before i reformatted my PC i pick up hitachi just like that
HELP!!!!!!!! it's baking my head

I would do a format of the pc, also look at differant drivers for the via card. What drivers are on the system now. Also goto system info and tell us chipsets on the motherboard

i had a feeling that i might have to do that, but i didn't want to! guess i got no choose.
driver is from the disc that came with the via 6421 if that what you mean!!!
i've looked in system info can't seem to find the chipset on the motherboard!
