All new checks found, all fws (stealth and non-stealth) will fail these checks and get flagged for banning, except LT!

If there is going to be LT which i doubt.

It would be viable to pay for it as you only need to pay once and the moneys paid would soon be recouped.

I cant see them asking for monies i personally think that they are 1 step and always be 1 step behind MS.

Developing firmware to play copies is one thing but to develop stealth firmware is another.

Agreed, another stumbling block were gonna hit now is when the pin lift firmware dump is patched by liteon, its gonna be harder to obtain the firmware

Could be that your already flagged, and just get banned. Better to try LT on a new console.

MS have always been playing catch up, and not the other way around. They have only just implemented this check to ban people, and that took 4 years. So to say that MS are a step ahead is incorrect. The hackers are the ones ahead, and MS play catch up.

Probably less weed than you. No-one has said for definite there will be LT and it took them long enough to release firmware after 1.6.

Says who? The will know who has got modded console but only implement bans when they feel like it as the still get revenue from yearly subs and arcade download etc.

They have only just implemented this check to ban people, and that took 4 years.

This has always been a cat and mouse game. So nobody is actually winning or losing really.

Quite a few quotes flying about in this thread. Best option now is to await official releases of firmware (if it does arrive) and status updates.

I have to admit i dont think the twitter idea by the team was not the bes move. But they are getting bomb barded with people mythering them for this lite touch firmware.

That wouldn't be one step ahead that would be game set and match.

When it comes to hacked hardware, hackers are 1 step ahead as they release firmware that can be played on live.

MS examine the firmware for ways to detect it, once they've found a way then and only then can they ban at will.

But MS has the advantage of only needing to detect you once and your banned for good.

When it comes to new hardware then MS are obviously 1 step ahead as hackers need to find a weakness to hack it.

Yeah 8 hours after the LT was hacked, and could of been free. If geremia had not hacked it, it would still be a pay for service. C4/TJ were trying to make some quick cash.
